Although the hotel did not look quite as expected from the outside when we arrived, the room we had more than made up for it. We booked a triple room and we were given a large double room, with twin beds, and an adjoining room with a single bed, which was also very spacious, with more than enough storage space....

The personnel was extremely helpful. We were staying at the hotel for 10 days so we qualified for their car and driver program. We were met at the airport and brought to the hotel in a large (European large is Mercedes or Audi 8), very clean and comfortable car. This was especially nice since it was our first visit to...

I have stayed in one other hotel in Rome. It was so bad I can't remember the name...However I will always remember Hotel Napoleon's name as the only place I will stay in Italy's most beautiful city. I chose the hotel for the fact that the Metro line has a stop right out the front door (and the photo on...

This is the second time stayed at the Napolean in Rome. We were there last year and we returned again this year. The location is great for getting around Rome. It's very close to Termini station and there is a Metro Entrance literally 3 meters from the front door of the hotel. One of the real highlights of this hotel...

We were thrilled with our stay at the Napoleon Hotel. The staff couldn't have been nicer. The room was wonderful and the dinner fantastic. All details were taken care of, such as being picked up at the airport, to having a box breakfast one morning. We booked an escursion to Pompeii and everything was fantastic. We would definitely stay there...

I want to start by giving one particular employee of the Napoleon Hotel extremely high praise and a "Thank you". Mr Franco greeted us by coming from behind the desk and shaking and welcoming each member of my family by name. Even though we were tired and sweaty from a long, hot overnight train ride, he treated us like we...

We were fortunate to have stayed at the Napoleon for twelve days in July, 2010. The service provided by the staff is first class. Having stayed for this extended period of time you are able to evaluate the commitment of the staff to their guests. I can truly say that they want your stay to be the best that it...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
