I stayed here because it was close to the Vatican, however its misleading, the actual tour locations to meet for your tour to the Vatican is a huge walk around to the completely other side, about a mile... The neighborhood of this hotel has ZERO to do or see. The hotel its self was very clean and modern, and the...

We stayed here with a tour group then stayed on for some additional time in the city. The central location and accessibility to the Vatican is ideal. You are probably a 15 minute walk to a metro station, but buses are close. The room was modern and clean and well outfitted. We had a view of St. Peter's dome from...

The location to the Vatican is so close that it makes it possible to walk over at night to take pictures of it. It's also close to a train station to get to the cruise ships conveniently by walking. Taxi's are located only a block away making it easy to get to other sites

Very close to the Vatican (across the road) set in a residential area ... and far away from the main hub of hotels and tourists. Rooms lovely and new, good air-conditioning, large safety deposit box (can fit PC and handbags) and a minibar. Comfortable beds. Only downside were the new showers, strange design to ours as the shower doors had...

The location tops for visiting the Vatican. Upon arrival one is half a block from Vatican City - with the view of St. Peter's dome. Very nice hotel. Lots of little, reasonable, delicious restaurants and gelato within two block walk.

Comparing with other starhotels like metropole, echo, florence and rosa , this is the poorest among the all that have been mentioned in terms of service, breakfast and room sizes. Even the receptionist talks nasty too bad I also speak Italian. Better to take the starhotel metropole, only saving grace is its location near vatican.

This hotel is great if you want to visit the Vatican and its surrounds. Hotel rooms are clean and tidy but are too small. Hotel has only one restaurant. Food was not good. It was a bit expensive to dine in their restaurant and food was not that good. Being in Italy, you would expect food to be better. Even...

The hotel Michelangelo is an excellent modern hotel which with it`s location next to the Vatican ( you can see St Peters Dome from the hotel !) is perfect for visiting the Vatican city. The rooms whilst not being the biggest are perfect for two people on a short break or a single person on business. They are spotless and...

My sister and I were very excited about this hotel because it looked very nice in the photos, but was well-priced and seemed close to the Vatican. It is close to the Vatican, but maybe a 10 min walk, not super close like you're going to be having breakfast with the Pope from your window. And it's not located in...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This 4 star design hotel in the heart of baroque Rome, is just moments from the Vatican and offers views across to St. Peter's Dome. Its style is inspired by the same Italian spirit, personal touch, and attention to detail of its namesake: the grandmaster of Renaissance art. The Sistine Chapel is just steps away and we're walking distance to many historic wonders such as Colosseum and Castel Saint Angelo. Our completely renovated hotel is a triumph of traditional design , with 179 rooms and suites. The Dome restaurant serves superb international and Roman cuisine. Come and stay in an incredible location and enjoy the very best of the eternal city. ... more   less
