We booked a room for two people (my mother and I), but they provided a very small room with only one small bed. The neighborhood was bad, and I am very dubious about the security of the hotel.

We were really surprised by this place. Big room, super clean and super friendly owner! The building looks a bit run down outside, but the inside is really nice. Breakfast is simple, but good. We paid only 31 euros for one night including everything. This is a real bargain!

We rented a room in this B&B for $46 Euro/night, which is incredibly cheap and was a fantastic deal for the room that we got (Room #5, I think it was)! The price alone, and the fact that we felt safe and secure leaving our belongings in a room for such a good price, earn this B&B 3 stars right...

The B&B is not easy to find, because it is located in an apartment in an old condo on the 1st floor. The room was big and with everything you needed for a few days in a big city. The guy who was working at the hotel was very kind, and he would do everything possible to help us with...

My partner and I stayed here for one night in December 2011, and paid €31 for a double room (plus €2 each for the Rome city tourist tax), we got an excellent deal probably due to it being low season. The room was clean and spacious, with no noise from the street outside. Also very warm, which was good since...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
