We were introduced to this self-catering B&B in 2010. We stayed a month. We had a wonderful time. Gianluca Maritti was our go to host then as he is to this day but his father, Luigi I heard is basically retired from the day to day running of this facility but then Gianluca's brother, Pierfrancesco has joined Gianluca in managing... Thank you for your terrific review! Your beautiful words define what we are trying to do in our Residenza: a suitable mixture between beauty and comfort, ancient and modern, professionalism and sense of familiarity. You have experimented a journey within a journey, meeting an authentic roman family, who lives in this house since 200 years. Residenza is a place where... More

Nice with cozy warm familiar home-feeling instead of traditional hotel. Perfect location. The owners gave us good tips for both walks and restaurants. We will choose the same place next time we come to Rome.

This family owned hotel was fantastic! Right in the heart of Rome. You could see the Colosseum from the hotel rooftop, it was across the street from the Forums. GREAT location. The owners were great, friendly and helpful. Gave directions to restaurants, advice on public transportation, etc. I along with another instructor brought 10 students to Italy for study abroad... I absolutely reccomend Residenza Maritti, as the location and the view is the best you can find in the historical centre, and also the price very competitive. The staff very friendly, the atmosphere cozy and chill. The top floor rooms are my favourite as they are brighter and modern. the contrast with the antique building is definately unique.

“We have our favourite rooms at the front of the building. Typical of housing in the Centro Storico the building is right on the one-way very narrow street. Traffic does go by all day long, but at maybe only 5 to 10 kph. Quieter rooms are available in the centre and rear of the building.”
