There is not much to say as everything was excellent! Our room was very specious and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Mini bar with variety of drinks and snacks no ridiculous prices. Reception and breakfast staff extremely helpful and polite. Breakfast was very good with great choices. Special thanks to Simone for the special treat for my wife’s birthday. Location couldn’t be better. 5min walk from Spanish Steps and 10min from Trevi fountain. 5min walk to Metro station. The view from the rooftop was amazing. We loved our 4 night stay at Room Mate Filippo! The hotel is very well kept and with a very cool style. The staff is bilingual, extremely helpful and friendly. We walked to everything from this location, just down from the Spanish Steps. We opted for the breakfast and glad we did. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Lovely hotel, rooms a good size, nice breakfast, friendly staff. Really clean and smells great. We had a slightly larger room which I think was worth the small additional cost. You can usually rely on Room Mate hotels not to disappoint.

Great Clean Quiet Friendly Hotel in a great location for all the main attractions in Rome. All the staff were very helpful and informative and recommended a fantastic restaurant for dinner and even booked us a table. Plenty of choice for breakfast, the room was large and clean en suite had everything we wanted, bathrobes , slippers shampoo hairdryer great lighting and mirror for shaving/make up. My wife and I stayed at Room Mate Filippo for 6 nights in May 2022 and wanted to take this opportunity to both write a review for the hotel, and also to thank all of the staff, including the manager, Stephen, for helping us enjoy our stay and make the best of what could have otherwise been a miserable trip. First, the boring, but critical stuff; the hotel and room were both very nice - very clean, up-to-date, comfortable, and fully equipped with all the amenities you’d expect. The room was very quiet, with no noise from other rooms or from the street, especially considering it is in the historic center of the biggest city in Italy. The bed was honestly one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever had (which turned out to be a really good thing). We had a nice balcony, which, although it didn’t have particularly memorable view, looked over the street and was nice to sit on and eat. The hotel also had a couple of public terraces, a gym (we didn’t use it), and an area for breakfast (we also didn’t use that). The location was also great - right in the historic center, but not in an overly crowded area. The Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain are very close (a few minutes walk) and the Barberini metro station is right around the corner. If you don’t mind a longer walk, you can get to the Colosseum or Forum in about 25-30 min. What really stood out for us was the customer service. The day we arrived in Rome, my wife came down with COVID. Several days later, I tested positive. The staff was immensely helpful in helping us navigate the situation. To begin with, they got us the number and directions for a nearby pharmacy that could do an official test and provide certification for travel. Next, they helped me to extend my stay for an extra two nights…and even though I had initially booked 4 nights through Booking.com, the hotel was able to book the additional two nights at a discounted rate. Although the room we were staying in had been specifically booked by an incoming guest (after the day we were supposed to leave), the hotel was able to make arrangements that would allow us to remain in the same room so that we did not have to deal with moving all our luggage while sick. I received a personal call from the Manager, Stephen, inquiring as to our well-being, and offering to personally pick up food or drinks for us from nearby restaurants since we were quarantined; a gesture which was extremely appreciated. Finally, the staff sent up Prosecco to the room to help make the vacation a little sweeter, despite the challenge. All-in-all, our trip to Rome didn’t turn out as we hoped and we didn’t get to see nearly as much of the city as we would have liked, but the situation could have been much more difficult and uncomfortable if not for the efforts and comforts of the Room Mate Gran Filippo and its staff. Great hotel in good location. Walking distance to most sites and not noisy . A new modern hotel with excellent staff Breakfast great too with a good choice. Only discovered the roof terrace on the last morning . There is a fantastic 360 degree view from there. Room and bathroom great and quite spacious for Rome

At first we were very welcomed by the staff who were well prepared and friendly, they made us feel like home ❤️ then the check in was fast and easy, the rooms were shiny clean and spacious 👍🏻 bathrooms were great sand bright 👌🏻👌🏻 and when we checked out we were greeted by the staff and we felt like we're leaving back a big family that we surly gonna miss. We so enjoyed our time at this hotel. From start to finish the service was excellent and all the staff were so wonderful and helped start our trip off right. George and Miriam and the breakfast staff in particular were great. The room and hotel were kept very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Most importantly for us, the room was so quiet and we slept great here. The location is awesome, but you are tucked away from the main street so noise was not an issue for us. We were able to walk most places, but were also very close to the metro station. The breakfast was also a good bonus, with lots of selection, healthy options, and lovely tea and coffee selections.
