If you like to stay in a 1930-like hotel with rooms, furnishings and services of that era, but paying 2016 over-priced rates, then this hotel is for you! This was more than a disappointment! The hotel is in the process of re-modeling! we had booked two double rooms for our friends and us. Upon arrival, our couple friend went to... More

Great location near everything. Charming old hotel - you feel like a guest in an italien house. Interior is a must for antique lovers. Not the most hype and moderne hotel - but it has got uniqueness and vibe, you can't buy! Wonderful and popular cocktail bar in the garden.

We stayed at Hotel Locarno for 4 days. The location is great with many local restaurants to choose from. The hotel is old, but they do keep it very clean. The staff were very polite and friendly. The garden is beautiful and is a wonderful place to have breakfast or a drink in the evening. The problems was room 110... More

This hotel is in a fantastic location, within walking distance of major sites, and has some lovely restaurants in the street (just far enough from the tourist restaurants). The room for a single person, was a single bed (think convent style) The bathroom was not very good, and there were issues with hot water (although this was on my final... More

We arrived earlier than check in time but the room was ready straight away. Nothing was too much trouble. When I mentioned to the hotel staff that I do not use lifts they immediately upgraded us to a larger ground floor room. Massive bathroom and huge bedroom. Beautifully cool and just what we needed after the journey. Very central to... More

Great hotel with beautiful courtyard to have breakfast and aperitif. It was a shame the roof terrace was closed on our visit. Very helpful lovely receptionists who helped us book restaurants when we were stuck. The breakfast buffet was a little lack lustre but forgivable. Great cocktails in the evening in the garden, perfect for a spritz. The rooms were... More

We stayed at the Locarno 1 night before we joined a cruise from the port of Civitavecchia. The Cruise package included the one night at the Locarno, so I didn’t really know what to expect. The package also included a late flight into Rome which was not ideal as most of the evening was lost, so we planned to get... More

Location is great with just a minute walk to many shops and restaurants. Staff are friendly and helpful. Always wearing smile. Though rooms and furnitures are a bit old but they are pretty clean. The bed is comfortable though small. The garden is nice for both breakfast and drinks.

I was expecting pretty decor but with the need to lower my standards in terms of modern conveniences such as appropriate water pressure for showers and temperature control for rooms. Needless to say that this was not the case with the new renovation and our suite was one of the best in the hotel. I give this place 5 stars.... More
