The Hotel Regio is an older hotel in a great location (very close to Termini "rail station") with a very friendly and helpful staff. The room was a decent size compared to other rooms in Italy and were always kept clean with fresh linens. The...More
Hotel Regio is located about 150 meters from Rome's main rail station, which also is a major bus center and has a Blue and Red Metro station. There are just two subway lines, Red and Blue.. I took a shared mini-van from FCO airport to...More
Our experience at this hotel was not good at all. This hotel is in need a a major renovation. Our room, although a good size had a very musty smell. The room was clean but needs a paint job. The bedspread and draperies need replacement...More
This is an average rated hotel within walking distance of ROMA TERMINI, a grocery store, and several eateries. The staff were helpful. The breakfast consisted of meats, cheeses, bread, pastries, coffee, and juices. It was average.

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
