I have mixed feelings about this accommodation. First the positives. Our room was more like a spacious apartment. Very large with impressive marble floors and lovely furniture throughout. The bathroom was modern and there was even a little kitchenette (which we didn't use). More than...More
The room was much better than in pictures, two large bathrooms and large bedrooms.
The staff were friendly.
The breakfast was worse than usual but was sufficient.

If location matters to you, stay there! If you are looking for a kind-of-apartment rather than a full-serviced hotel, stay there. If you are an independent traveler, that's the place to be in a very special location.

Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural
storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
