Our 3rd visit to Rome and each time we chose this excellent hotel. Sadly due to bad flying weather in Chicago we arrived a day late. We had kept the hotel informed and were as always, warmly welcomed by Alessandra. We had a suite on the top floor (6th) as close to the Pantheon as one could wish. The square is much quieter than before as there are now no buskers which made it very lively. The Roman Centurions are gone too and there is only one horse-drawn carriage allowed in the square. The Pantheon still had a line for admittance from morning to close and the restaurants were open for business. The hotel is clean and the public spaces beautiful if small. Very classy. The rooms are small with well-appointed bathrooms. The location is everything for us and seeing the Pantheon right outside the door is a great way to start and end the day. My favorite place in Rome is the rooftop bar of this hotel and the dramatic sunsets that make before-dinner cocktails a must. Every staff member in the hotel represents the business well. A great team! They are multi-lingual on the front desk and helpful with directions or recommendations. A complimentary buffet breakfast is served on the lobby level. Tea and coffee facilities are found in your room. We will return again (and again) to Albergo del Senato!…
The hotel enjoys an exceptional location in front of the Pantheon and has a superb, very welcoming and accommodating staff. We had an issue with our triple room (very nice room itself) that unfortunately was overlooking a narrow patio and a restaurant kitchen. The staff bended over backwards to give us a different room. I will definitely go back!!!
This was our first stay at this hotel, but it will not be our last. As others have said, the location is perfect, and the staff members are particularly kind and helpful. We stayed in Room 404 with a view of the Pantheon. Our adult children were booked in two other rooms and shared our high opinion of the hotel. Alessandra recommended two excellent restaurants—Grano in the immediate neighborhood and Ar Galletto across from the French Embassy. Of course, the perennial favorite Armando al Pantheon (featured in Stanley Tucci’s “Searching for Italy”) is just steps away. Alessandra and her colleagues were happy to make the necessary reservations. My wife was delighted to be given a bottle of Prosecco on her birthday—which our family enjoyed in the hotel bar. We used the hotel’s car service for our airport transfers.…
This was a great find next to the Pantheon in the center of Rome. A great central location for walking practically everywhere tourists would want to go. If you wanted to take a taxi - there's a stop right next door. We got an upgrade at the desk from a triple room to a corner adjoining two rooms (with common entrance). The first time our son has a hotel bedroom to himself (at 10 years old). The rooms were very well appointed, a very comfortable bed and great bathrooms with strong shower pressure. Even the power points had USB ports for charging devices. The rooms were on the inside, so no view but very, very quiet. Breakfast was included in the price, a buffet. It was very good but here I will just point out given we're in the home of coffee, it was disappointing but didn't detract from a lovely hotel. I'd definitely class this as a 4 star but at 3 star prices. We were very happy with our choice and we will use them again when we return.…
Great location, beautiful lobby and room. Very clean. Door staff was really friendly and helpful in calling a cab. Good price as well. Right in the middle of the most exciting part of Rome. Will recommend to all friends I know visiting Rome.
