My mom and I stayed here this January and had an absolutely lovely time. They spoiled us with chocolates next to our beds every night and being very thorough in terms of cleanliness. This hotel is touching the Pantheon (my favorite monument in Rome) and therefore offers all the advantages to tourists who are going for the first time. The Hotel staff are efficient and helpful for all our needs. What made this experience truly special was the three happy hours we had at the bar with lovely bar tender Michel. He went above and beyond to make us exceptional drinks with products from his own farm- like caviar lemons. And our conversations were lovely. He even made us a great souvenir with Prosecco caps that we hold close to our heart. Thank you for a great stay!
Excellent hotel , we have been here twice and it is whats make our holiday in rome so great all the staff are very clean/polite/caring/helpful and the rooms are spotless clean on our last visit my douther loved the cookies they serve at breakfast but on one particular day they didn't have them on the buffet table , so the breakfast lady went in the kichen and got my douther some cookies this hotel is a jem in rome Anthony catania from malta 🇲🇹
Our family stayed at this wonderful, centrally located Roman hotel, at Christmas, for 6 days. The hotel has modern amenities and an elevator, with old world charm. The hotel staff is warm, friendly, and always there to assist you with taxi or restaurant reservations. It is nice to see them when you come in and out of the hotel from your day's adventures. The views of the adjacent Pantheon, from our rooms, was amazing. Every day you will marvel at the beauty and history of the location. You are in a central location of a major metropolitan city, so normal city noise should be expected. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom modern, and the Florentine bath products were exquisite. Breakfast is comfortable with a nice variety of eggs, bacon, pastries, fruit, breads, and y yogurt. The breakfast staff was nice and helpful (and provided many delicious cappuccinos!) There is the most beautiful rooftop deck at the Albergo. In the winter, the rooftop bar is closed. We took sandwiches to the rooftop and enjoyed the view. With 60 degree temperatures, the rooftop was quiet, with magnificent views. The hotel has a wonderful mix of international guests. It also has a bar for cocktails. There are even some chairs, in front of the hotel, to sit and watch the activity in the square. Thank you to the staff at the Albergo for your kindness. We hope we will come back soon, and send you best wishes for 2023. …
This is not a hotel for the traveler who wants to "live like a local" - for that I imagine you might find a bed & breakfast in Trastevere or somewhere similar; it is, however, a hotel that is incredibly conveniently located and for a first-time traveler to Rome, I think it's a fantastic option. The Pantheon is at its doorstep, the Piazza Navona and Trevi Fountain maybe a 10 min walk away, the Spanish Steps and the Colosseum no more than a 25 min walk. The view from their rooftop terrace (always open for guests to visit; breakfast is served on the terrace in the warmer months, in the dining room in colder months) of the sunset over the Pantheon is truly spectacular. Breakfast is simple but decent with a selection of fresh fruit, breads/pastries, yogurt, cereals, and eggs/charcuterie served daily, with coffee to order. The front desk staff are truly kind and helpful. Some things to be aware of: the rooms are on the smaller end if you're accustomed to hotel rooms in the US, but I think fairly reasonably sized for European hotel rooms. The elevators are small and a little slow (but no matter - use their winding staircase to meander your way down!). There is ample lighting and electrical outlets, less places to hang robes and towels. Overall though, a really solid hotel - I would certainly recommend it to others and I would happily stay here again in the future if my travels bring me back to Rome. …
This was our 2nd time to stay here when in Rome. Our 1st visit was so good, we did not consider any other hotel although this one is a little pricey. The location cannot be beat. I stayed in the Penthouse Suite with a balcony overlooking the Pantheon: Wow! Others in our party stayed in the Seminario Suite with an original Renaissance-style ceiling fresco: so pretty. Rooms are clean, large and comfortable with updated modern baths. The view from the rooftop terrace is great and it is a nice place to enjoy a drink. The included breakfast has a large selection of options in an attractive dining room. When we had to leave early one morning before the dining room opened, the hotel provided us with a bag of food the night before. All staff is attentive, friendly, and helpful. The taxi stand is beside the Pantheon making it easy to get a taxi and easy to return from anywhere on your travels - just say Pantheon. PS: the beds were comfortable too.…
You can do much better than this hotel. Its only positive feature is that it is in the same square as the Pantheon. As for the rest: the rooms are very small and kind of worn out (see the pictures). The elevators were either broken or too slow, forcing us to take the stares a number of times (we were on the third floor). The breakfast was uninspiring: not-that-fresh pastries, okay eggs, passable coffee and juice. Service at breakfast was spotty (slow and inattentive: they take forever just to ask you if you want coffee). And the staff in general was either inattentive or, as for the room attendance and restaurant personnel, borderline rude (one major exception in the front desk being Alessandra, from the front desk, who was courteous and gave us some nice tips). Almost all umbrellas lent by the hotel to guests for at least 2 days were broken. True: Rome had a couple of windy days when we were there, but you would expect that they would be replaced shortly. The maid forgot the clothes I left for laundry once. To top it all: the corridors were noisy very early in the morning, with tourists bumping their luggage on the walls and doors. It seems to me that this hotel is kind of overwhelmed by tourists and cannot properly handle the inflow. Anyway, for a couple of bucks more, you can do a lot better. Location is not everything.…
Excellent location!! Most of the sites was walking distance. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. A special mention for Mechele the bartender with whom my daughter and myself spent a lot of time not only because he made us some lovely drinks/cocktails but also because of the interesting conversations we had with him. Very very hospitable man. He made our stay at the hotel special.
We've stayed here occasionally over the years, and four nights last week was yet another great visit. Staff is very attentive and helpful. Rooms not large but well organized; beds very comfortable. And, of course, the location, with many rooms overlooking the Pantheon, and a number of nearby and excellent restaurants, is stupendous. Breakfast good, though not sumptuous.
Small classic hotel with lovely rooms, comfortable beds, amazingly excellent service. The location is perfect and I would stay again. Our room overlooked the Pantheon from the 3rd floor and we heard noise at night only with the window open. There is a minibar fridge but there is room for you to put a few things of your own. The bathroom is spacious and well equipped, plus it had towel warmers. Breakfast was very good and the seating area on the roof and out front made for an entertaining spot to rest.
We booked here because of incredible reviews and the hotel did not disappoint. The view of the Parthenon is spectacular and the central location makes it easy to walk everywhere. We logged over 20K steps everyday and the hotel was so clean and comfortable to return to. We stayed in a superior double with a balcony and loved looking out at the piazza. They have very thick windows and curtains, so noise wasn’t terrible. Still, it’s a city, so we heard people singing and cheering during the Roma soccer game. :) The breakfast is awesome with eggs, bacon, fruit, pastry, and coffee. They even gave us a voucher for a free drink at the bar. We’ve never been more pleased with a hotel. We won’t even look around when we return to Rome.
