We stayed here as a stopover between a tour and flying out of Rome. It was a perfect place to relax with the rooms being both lovely in terms of their comfort and also they're really colorful! The provided snacks were also amazing and the staff were fantastic. Don't be put off by the location or area! Can't rate this... More

Walking distance from Rome train station, this B&B is an amazing place to stay. I can't thank Francesco (the owner) enough for his hospitality and service. When we arrived, he was waiting for us at the door and helped us with our luggage. You're not staying in the city center, but everything you need, such as restaurants, metro station, is... More

The staff is friendly, welcoming, helpful, truly amazing! They were so enthusiastic and passionate. They aren't doing the it for the money, they are doing it out of passion. The room is clean, cozy, and perfect. The snacks, drinks, and food was truly a delight. Truly a wonderful experience.

The accommodations worked perfectly for my husband and I. We had a to catch a train early the next morning and Daysleeper is a 10 minute walk from Termini. We were greeted by Francisco and he was helpful, jovial, and made a map for us so we could hit some of the top sites. The room was perfect, comfy bed,... More

This place is an amazing hidden gem!!!! Firstly I can't thank Francesco the owner enough for his incredible hospitality and service. From helping with luggage to providing coffee and a friendly chat! I've stayed in two of the rooms and loved both. They have everything you could possibly need, the food provided for a continental breakfast is more than enough-... More

Pros: Very accommodating host, couldn't have done any more for us. Left us a personalised info book in our room with our name on. He met us downstairs in the lobby of the building and made sure we were comfortable when got up to our room as we were soaked through from the rain with towels and drink...and some chocolate!... Francesco met us outside the hotel and was very accommodating, though if he had not been there to greet us, we would have left to find a different hotel. The location is not good. It is down the street from the train station with graffiti on all of the buildings. The room was adequate and clean. The breakfast was packaged... More

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! Francesco was more than accommodating and gave us a map and told us where we must go! Metro is a 5 minute walk away and at 1.50 euro for a ticket is a great way to get around. The area by termini station isn't the nicest, and although it would be... More

Great facilities for the price, very helpful and friendly staff. The room was extremely clean and was properly serviced every day. Very good value for the price and you'll never run out of snacks! The fridge was already stocked with free breakfast goods as were the shelves. Very good location for a city visit, although out near the railway station... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
