My husband and I stayed at The Vatican View for one night following a 12 night cruise. We were in Rome one night and wanted to see as much as possible. The location is great- just a block away from the gorgeous Vatican City. The staff was so kind in helping us find our way around town (by providing a...

We arrived at this lovely hotel for the start of our two week holiday in Italy. The staff could not have been kinder. They upgraded us to a wonderful room that included a huge bathroom - the nicest we would have on our trip, and a kitchen and closet area. The roof deck is great with a view of St....

We stayed here last summer for a couple of nights. The room is super small but has a cool old "design", especially the beautiful ceiling. The bathroom was smelly. Its location is quite convenient especially for Vatican and there is about 10 min walk for the subway. There is no breakfast or any food/drink services, watch out where you choose...

We cannot say enough good things about the staff in this hotel. Daniel and Alessandra were wonderful to us - both before our trip offering recommendations and arranging transportation to and from and during our stay when we encountered some difficulties with our itinerary. We were only with them for one night - the end of our Italian holiday -...

Just returned from a five day city break. Vatican View is the perfect place to stay. A central location with all attractions a short walk away. It is busy by day but goes quiet at night time Very clean, fantastic roof terrace and handy for nice restaurants. What's not to like. The staff are also very friendly and happy to...

My husband and I stayed here on the first couple of nights of our honeymoon. It's a gorgeous hidden little hotel, right next to St.Peter's square. It's very convenient for exploring the vatican museums, the basilica etc. We had a view of a religious souvenir shop from our room which was great for people watching - it just hadn't occurred...

After disembarking from a cruise in Rome we wanted to stay close to the Vatican and were pleasantly surprised by the welcoming staff and clean modern room. Space in the room and bathroom was very limited but despite this very comfortable. The location is fabulous with many good cafes outside the front door. Other shops and The Vatican minutes away....

Found this small hotel online and what a find. I can't say how wonderful we thought this place was. The staff were very helpful, the rooms are lovely, very clean and steps away from St Peter's square and I mean just a few steps. Only wee glitch was that the promised car didn't turn up at the airport to pick...

I selected this hotel due to good trip adviser reports and we were not disappointed. It is more of an apartment-style hotel as it comprises of 15 rooms and a small reception which also doubles as a shop. This means you can't eat in hotel (breakfast or evening meals) but don't let that put you off as there are so...

After a 12-day trip with friends to Sicily, I decided to spend a quick day-and-a-half in Rome solo on the way home. I found a deal for the Vatican View, and the whole experience was AMAZING. I was in the fourth-floor suite ("Sweet," said the door, and yes, it was!) with my own little kitchen, huge bath (and "shower room",)...

Dear how are you? spend a couple of days in Rome is never a bad idea. You stayed in our suite room, bigger than the other rooms with kitchen, private balcony and even is on the main street, is very quite. Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
