I returned recently from a 2-week stay here in January 2016, where I experienced excellent hospitality. From Andrea to the kind gentlemen at the 1st Floor bar/restaurant downstairs, I was made to feel welcomed and treated with great kindness and warmth. I was busy with a group of college students during the day, so I very much appreciated having an...

Excellent hotel. Clean and large rooms. Staff could not be more friendly. Location is perfect. The bathrooms are large and heated. The bed was firm and comfortable. Only downside was the little expresso machine which uses pods charged at 2 euro each. Would have preferred a kettle. We will be back soon.

I stayed here back in September with my husband, The hotel is nice and small, nothing fancy but really clean rooms and to my surprise very modern. Not only was the hotel really nice, but the staff was outstanding, they treated us like family, specially Andrea the Hotel Manager and Oscar at the bar. If you are considering this hotel,...

This hotel was perfect distance for landmarks and the metro! We walked almost everywhere- we did take the metro to the Vatican ;) Manager was helpful and very friendly and the rooms were always spotless! Daily room service and clean bedding. In the evening it was quite busy below in the bar and after 10pm the party begins with loud...

The hotel is across the street from the Colosseum. That is reason enough to say here. Andrea at the front desk goes above and beyond helping you with museum and train tickets. Lots of great restaurants in the area, including the hotel.

My wife and I only had one night in Rome before our cruise. We chose Second Floor because of it's great location and proximity to the sights. Close to the buses and the Metro. The manager, Andrea, was awesome. He was able to answer all of our questions and had some great suggestions. The room was very clean, and the...

I wanted a room with a view and I got one, thank you Andrea. The room was fine, quite modern and everything worked ok. The hotel driver forgot to collect me as pre arranged but I got over that and headed for the hotel. As I was arriving later (9pm) it was not clear to me at the downstairs bar...

Great location half block from Colosseum, amazing view at night. Hotel is small as are the rooms but clean and adequate. Two flights of stairs with no elevator. Great wifi but not much of a breakfast included. Great spot of single gay traveler for one or two nights due to location and the gay clubs downstairs.
