I really do not recognize any of the negative reviews that others have posted of Double B during my stay there. Had the pleasure of staying there for a total of eight days, in a well-maintained and hospitable environment. The guesthouse provides a very homely and warm and hospitable atmosphere. When I arrived, Wendy the receptionist and manager, who also...

We didn't feel safe waiting outside the 'bed and breakfast' and cancelled the booking soon after they told us that they told us we can serve our own breakfast. We informed them of our flight details, and kept them informed when our flight was delayed. There was no sign outside and area was all graffitid. We waited on the street...

This bed and breakfast is in a very good location in walking distance to the colosseum. When we arrived no one was there even though we had arranged a late check in. We had to call a number written on a piece of paper and stuck to the door. Two men then came round the corner saying the person with...

At first it was a bit hard to get into, had to stand outside for about 10 minutes ringing the buzzer and ask locals if we were at the right place, the lady who dealt with us was absolutely fantastic, very helpful and very kind, the place was tidy and spacious and the bed was great for a good night...

This is an basement of building where has been changed to 3 rooms with their bathrooms. windows at the level of pedestrian side of road. little bit humid, even though they have made recent redesign of rooms. the bed is so soft that made me not feel comfortable as i prefer solid mattresses. At the check in they charged me...

We stayed at the Double B 3 nights. The metro is 150 meters away and the Coliseum is a 15-minute walk away. Well maintained, clean daily and Italian breakfast was plentiful and varied. Room striking orange. We'll be back for sure.

Very clean rooms, comfortable, all you need for breakfast and a nice no nonsense service. Only the dog barking every morning at 7 o'clock did not give you the perfect rating! but that is something you can't to anything about. Two streets away from nearest metro station, and a 15 min walk to Colosseum! Definitely coming back.

The host and the cleaning lady were very nice and friendly. Really nice location - next to Manzoni metro station and 15 minutes away from the Coliseum (walking). The room was renovated and large enough. The only thing is that the room was on the -1 floor and there were no windows - good for the people that like to...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
