We recently had a 9-night trip to Italy. We started at the Hotel IQ Roma because we wanted a central location for our trips to Ancient Rome, and then something close to the train station for our trip to Florence. IQ Roma was an excellent choice. It's located between Via Cavour and Via Natzionale. It's a short walk to the...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Very clean rooms with good wifi. Rooms are meticulously done and has all facilities. The breakfast upstairs is awesome. We loved it. Many key locations are closeby. Vatican is lil far but take the metro. The metro station is closeby. Overall we loved it.

Stayed here for three nights over Easter. We had a double and a triple room for our family. Very good location - walking distance (as long as you are fairly fit) for all sites apart from the Vatican. Breakfast - ate their buffet on two mornings, not bad for ten euros pp but totally self service including dragging tables together...

Just came back from Rome, where I stayed in Hotel IQ for a week. Modern, centrally located place, walking distance from The Forum, Piazza di Spagna, Vatican or Trestevere, if you enjoy walking in Rome as much as I do :) Incredibly helpful staff. Smallish rooms, but hey, it's Rome, and nothing comes in big sizes. One minor issue: a...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
IQ is a 4-star hotel, with a twist! Located in downtown Rome, just a short 15 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain or the Colosseum and with Repubblica metro station just 200 metres away, hotels don't get much central than this. IQ guests enjoy free Wi-Fi connection throughout the hotel, a lovely terrace where to unwind overlooking the Opera House, and free access to our gym and sauna. We believe in tailor-made hospitality, so there are vending machines in virtually every floor, where you can buy yourself a bottle of wine, a pack of crisps, a tooth-brush or even an umbrella (not that you'll need it often!), All at very competitive prices. Now that you've found us... Welcome to a whole new hotel experience! IQ STAFF ... more   less
