This was our first stay in Rome and we were here for our 5th anniversary so wanted something special without blowing the budget. We were not dissapointed form the minute we arrived and were greated by Sergio who had upgraded our standard room to a deluxe. He was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and places to visit and told...

The rooms all have wonderful views of the small ruins across the street and are centrally located between all of the sights in Rome. Great price and super friendly/helpful staff. Highly recommend due to location. Third floor, with a small European elevator and large marble staircase. Breakfast offered is coffee every morning.

Stayed here in January 2017 for a Friday and Saturday night. Easy to get to from Termini. On way to accommodation, got the metro in direction of Laurentina. 2 stops to Colosseum and about a 15 min walk to here. On way back to Ciampino airport, I got the bus which is just across the road from the entrance. This...

Just came back from here and had a lovely time. 3 price brackets for accommodation in Rome- 1) Budget 2) Mid range 3) Luxury This accommodation comes under no.2 ...what sets it apart from others at no.2 is that it is walking distance to everything you want to see in Rome but more importantly the staff are lovely. We were...

This place is insanely beautiful. Great rooms, great location, very close to pantheon, staff and owner are very welcoming. We stayed in the Giunone room, which has a beautiful view, on the ruins of Largo Argentina. Absolutely recommended!

The owner is extremely helpful and friendly: even before our arrival, he sent me useful links to various tourist attractions and airport transfer information, then during our stay, he was very nice with booking dinner table or provide information and directions whenever we asked. We used the transport company recommended by Sergio. Since there is no visible sign of this...

We stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of October. We had a room with a view which overlooked the Torre Argentina cat sanctuary. We had great fun trying to count them from our apartment. The apartment itself is truly ideally situated. It is in easy walking distance to many of the main attractions for example Piazza Navona, Piazza...

This is a hidden gem, overlooking the site of Julius Caesar's assassination in 44 B.C., now a cat sanctuary known as Largo Argentina. The room was huge, the bathroom also very spacious, and the service impeccable. The breakfast is quite an adequate start to a day. The location is ideal, just a short walk from the Pantheon and the Piazza...

Staying in Ghetto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ghetto
The mini-neigbourhood Ghetto holds tight to its reputation as a stand-alone area thanks to its nearly 300-year history as the home to Rome’s Jewish community. Times changed in the 20th century, but the tiny area still retains its mix of tradition, community, and history. Ancient and medieval architectural design frames apartments, bakeries, shops, and restaurants. Friends and families are the pulse of the neighbourhood, keeping company on the Via del Portico d’Ottavia. The Ghetto observes the traditional Jewish Shabbat: businesses close from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown.
