An old building, ancient-style lift, high ceilings, a concierge in the hall - a true sense of living in a Roman home. The accommodation - more B&B than hotel - is clean, comfortable and modern, and is excellent value for money. There are basically two different sections, A View of Rome on staircase A, and A Touch of Rome on...

My wife and I spent three days in this apartment-turned-hotel looking over Vatican. The location was great, the room was very clean, the breakfast was good but the best experience was meeting the two very helpful owners. I would definitely come back to this hotel again.

I stayed in a bunk bed since I was traveling solo. It took me some time to get used to it but I had a wonderful bathroom that was the same size as my bedroom! The location was great. And the hosts were great as well. DANIELE waited for me outside of the building worried that I was lost! He...

They were excellent, from arranging transportation from the airport to providing advice and directions to attractions and everything in between. Conveniently located in a safe part of Rome on a square adjacent to the Vatican. We highly recommend them.

We stayed at this hotel early August for two nights and could not fault it one bit. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. Our room didn't really have a view of anything except for the building next door but that was ok. The room had an AC unit and there was wi-fi. Upon arrival, we were greeted...

The best thing about "A view of Rome" is the location and the hosts. The place is conviniently located and within walking location of the Vatican, with a host of places of eat-out. Special mention for the hosts for being warm and providing all the valuable info for our trip in Rome.

We stayed at this charming hotel in August this year. It was our first time in Rome and the level of service we recieved was beyond the rating I could put on here. We were given a free upgrade as a better room became available. We could lie in bed and see the St Pters lit up in all its...

I booked this B&B because of the reviews I read at the time (October 2015). I was traveling to Italy just my son and I and was nervous about a lot of things. As soon as I booked and got a email from a view of Rome, I knew I would not need to worry about the place I chose....

We stayed at "A touch of rome" which is the same company as "A view of rome" run by our fantastic hosts Daniele and Livio. When we arrived Daniele went above and beyond to provide us with information on rome, how to buy tickets for the colleseum, buses to catch when your feet get tired and much more. It was...

This was a fantastic B&B, and I'm so happy I chose to stay here for five nights. The location was great, so close to the Vatican, and a short walk to Trastevere and the historic centre. The view from my room of St Peter's was sublime, and the room itself was lovely - comfortable, clean, with good linen and a...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
