All the main tourist attractions are reachable by foot - around 7 min walk to the Collosseum, ~15 min to Fontana di Trevi, ~10 min to Piazza Venezia, ~25 minutes to Piazza Navona/Pantheon/Campo de Fiori. As we had a great weather, we even made a walk to Vatican City (it took around 45 min). The room was very clean, with...

The woman that is taking care of the apartments (she's not the owner), is amazing! She wants to help and assist and really a great person. But, please understand that when you book a room here, you are actually booking a room in an apartment with another room and you will use the same bathroom and toilet with the other...

Domus Elisa B&B is great. We don't have anything to complain about. The location is great, it's really close to the train station and it's easy to find. It's also really close to e.g. the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. The service is great and the breakfast is ok. My only complaint would be that the kitchen only contains an...

A great little B&B that is excellent for exploring Rome. The via Cavour is a busy street and we had an ensuite room away from the main street. The view was not great over the nearby apartments but the room was clean and the bed comfortable and, after all, we were here to see Rome not sit in our room. There...

Friendly relaxed place to stay. Fifth floor but it does have small lift. Via Cavour is an interesting street with lots of eating places, bars and places of interest spurring off it. Within walking distance of centre.

The location of Domus Elisa is really good for anyone arriving into Rome by train or on the coaches from the budget airline airports, as it's just a 10 minute walk from the main Termini station. This was especially useful as we took a day trip to Pompeii on the train. It is also only about 10-15 minutes walk from...

Staying in Monti

Neighbourhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighbourhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighbourhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
