Federico B&B was the perfect location for our Rome adventure. If you are after fancy/trendy hotel then this isn't the place for you, but as a functional base to ensure you get the most out of your trip to Rome, it doesn't get any better. Don't let the old exterior/stairway put you off, once inside the welcome is fantastic and...

We stayed in this bed and breakfast with my friends for 2 nights and we had a wonderful experience. The owners ( elena and federico ) were so friendly and warm and they really made us feel comfortable from the first moment. They gave us useful information about the city, where to eat, where to go out,,,everything!!! They are really...

I was very disappointed after reading the reviews here. The place, however, was actually really good. It is owned by a couple (around their 50s) who were very hospitable and eager to give us information about anything. It was clean. The only problem was the pour sound proofing and the earthquake-like experience of the trains leaving termini.

We were a little worried after the negative reviews but it wasn't at all bad. Yes, we did have to wait 20 minutes for the owner to come and let us in when we arrived but he couldn't have been more helpful throughout our trip. The location is great, a 2-minute walk from Termini with great bus and metro access...

I booked 4 nights in this hotel. When we arrived the owner tell us that we were going to stay there for two nights (the room was the one that appears in all photos, big but not clean) and that then they have to move us to another place as our room was for four people. They move us to...

The owners of the place were not even in the hotel when we arrived and ignored all my phone calls, so we had to wait for a couple of hours until they finally picked up the phone and only to find out that our room was rented out to somebody else. They alocated us in another b&b but we basically...

the hotel is in fact has three rooms together with one shared kitchen located on the 5th floor of an old building near the central train station of Rome. getting taxis, bus shuttle to airport or traveling through the city by train is very easy.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
