To sum it up: the room in itself is fine, clean, reasonable size. However, for the price we paid I would have expected wifi that actually functioned and a tv that functioned. Even the dvd that was provided did not work. The comments that this is a "luxury appartment" are way too friendly. Its just a simple room in an... More

This small apartment suite was a wonderful stay for us during a brief visit to Rome. The location is in a quiet non tourist area within 15 minutes of the Vatican. We walked everywhere we wanted to visit from the apartment. Trastevere, Vatican, Trevi fountain, Castil Saint Angelo, Monti neighborhood and others. Annamarie is a lovely host and accommodating to... We stayed at a two room B&B with the same owners that is close to the Spanish Steps (Iduepiccioni - shown on the Caputmundi's website). Definitely more a B&B than a hotel but I sort of liked that. The room was spotless clean and seemed to be fairly newly refurbished. No breakfast but there are so many cafes in the... More

I am extremely picking about hotels and normally live in luxury so when I booked this b&b recommended by my Italian friend I was excited but skeptical. However, when I arrived all my doubts disappeared. Its like your living in an uber luxury apartment in the heart of Rome - 5 min walk to the Vatican, 10 min walk to... More

As other travelers have commented the accommodations are lovely, however if you are wanting a warm interaction with the owner or her staff, you will be disappointed. The beds and pillows are rock hard, but we found beds all over Italy to be pretty firm. The location is super convenient and you can walk most every where from there. Don't... More

This B&B is in a close location to the majority of Romes attractions. The rooms are kept clean, but as a previous person wrote, the towels don't get changed regularly. The beds are hard as rocks. If you need to speak to Annamaria about anything, make sure you do it on arrival as you most likely wont see her for... More

I spent my Christmas holiday with my sister in Rome for almost 2 weeks and stayed at the Caput Mundi suites and could not have been happier!! Our hosts Mima and Anna Maria were super friendly and were there to assist us when we needed them. Even throughout our stay, they would respond to all my questions via email in... More

The hotel is small but very luxury. The location is great. No reception and no staff appears... This is a problem because if you need any kind of assistance, you never meet somebody at the hotel to help you. The lady who prepairs breakfast and cleans the rooms is quite unfriendly and when we asked her to change the towels,... More

This accommodation is centrally located & very clean and the host, Annamaria, is extremely hospitable and friendly. The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable and breakfast is simple but tasty with freshly made pastries & coffee setting you up for the day. The location is really good with access to the main sights a short walking distance away. The Vatican, Via... More

I highly recommend Caputmundi as your choice of accommodation for both the first time travelers as well as the seasoned traveller. The central location right smack in the city - all within walking distance to all the major attractions. The room is clean and comfortable. Mimmi the manager welcomes with the friendliness hospitality that only the Italians can. Annamaria, the... More

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
