If you ever book this hotel, do not expect to have more than 2 in a room. Even your children have to squeeze into your bed with you. They do not have any rollaway beds. As a titanium elite member and already in a suite, they could not add an extra bed. We all squeezed into a king size bed for 3 nights. Poor management
Positives - great location for the city centre and sights, which are all very walkable to. Comfortable, good quality rooms. Lovely roof top bar and restaurant. Negatives - bring some earplugs, the air con although efficient is extremely loud for sleeping! House keeping - the bed, towels are all sorted in the daytime, but twice I had to ask for clean cups and coffee replenishment when returning from a day out as it had not been done at 7.30pm. A good stay overall.
We only stayed for 1 night but this hotel was excellent. Our King Superior room and bathroom were excellent and quite large. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff! Next to the Pantheon, very close to Trevi Fountain and Piazza Narvona which we enjoyed eating at as well as people watching.
First off, if you want to and are willing to walk 10-15K steps a day and see ALL the major attractions, then this is your hotel. We stayed 5 nights. We walked to the Colosseum (1.2mi), to the Vatican, twice (1.1mi), to Trevi (0.5mi), to Trastevere (1.0mi - huge disappointment, graffiti everywhere), the Pantheon most every night to listen to music or eat gelato (0.2mi). The hotel is centrally located and if you can walk you won't need motorized transport. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Two gripes. We stayed in a room at the end of the 4th floor. The internet was spotty, at best. And the shower, while invigorating, could not hold it's temperature. There are plumbing issues. You just have to wait for the water to return to the set temperature and then rush to rinse. Water temp varied from lukewarm to almost scalding multiple times without touching the controls. I would stay here again because it is central to everything if you're willing to walk. …
First time to Roma but not the last. What memories are made of are not just the experiences of this incredible city, but of the welcoming reception of the hotel staff that continued throughout our 5 night stay. Thank you to all that made our days & nights an oasis of comfort & relaxation ( upgraded balcony suite, comfortable king bed, rooftop terrace breakfasts and nighttime cocktails). All exquisite! We want to recognize Nana, who introduced us to the skyline of Roma our first day on the rooftop. The hotel is central to walking Trastavere, Spanish Steps & Colosseum. We found ourselves walking many miles & getting lost in Rome. That is best part. We had a haven at our hotel to put our feet up, open the balcony doors & nap until dinner. Rome will find you, if you let her. Grazie Mille.…
We stayed the night before departing FCO. All staff were incredibly helpful, unassuming and friendly. Our room was small but everything was high end. The rooftop bar was outstanding both for drinks and then breakfast the next morning. The property embraces your Marriott status, so if you have it, stay here.
We had the following issues 1) No hot water in the bathroom 2) Bad experience during breakfast at the hotel. The waiter was impolite as we had not booked the stay with breakfast and that was a problem to him. He was so busy he did not care to ask what we would like to drink and served something else 3) the person at the reception did not want to book a taxi in advance to the airport as she said we could just be there 15min before and wait… 4) the room service did not delivered what we orded and when I asked he just gave me the bill to sign 5) the hotel personal knocked on our door several times on both days in the afternoon about some water bottles in the room. They did not appear to respect we were on holiday and did not wanted to disturbed in the afternoon although I said so 6) the personal wrote an email about some issues with pre authorization of my credit card and used another name than mine so I asked if this was me or another guest. Then the conclusion was that now it did not matter. 7) while have cocktails in the top floor we were asked to move as the waiter wanted to repair something a our table but he never went back to it while we were put at another table with a bad view of the city Although the rooms are nice and the hotel well located I would not recommend it. The overall service is low and do not in any way match a 5 star hotel…
Staff are very friendly and willing to assist with any questions. Rooms are Modern and very clean. The location is perfect to walk to any of the major locations. I only found that the service at the roof top bar extremely slow. Be prepared to flag down your server. Only negative for me is that did not stop people from smoking and vaping. We were planning to have our dinner there but the vaping and smoking sent us off somewhere else
We stayed for 3 nights at this wonderfully located and staffed Hotel. The front office manager Viorica Rusu was incredibility helpful and quick to resolve any issues. She is one of the best managers I have ever experienced. Arianana from the front desk also deserves a shout out .Everything from the rooms to the dining enhances your Rome stay. Well done, my friends!
Loved the locations of this property! They were a tad snooty when asked questions… the room has lights switches with 5 round circles with three dots… I could not figure out the lights and what each dot did… you would think that they would have something to tell you how these worked, same with the heated towel rack in the shower and the AC… could not figure these out! They had placed a bottle of wine in the room but we don’t not drink it at 10 pm when we arrived but they took the bucket and wines glasses the next morning and left the wine bottle… kind of strange. If you are looking at location this is great…. But as a hotel I would not rate it very high… rooms are very small and I felt like I was an inconvenience to them when asked any questions. Glad my stay was only 2 nights.
