My family of 4 spent a few nights here last week, and I can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay! The location of Capitolium Rooms is very convenient...a short walk from Termini Station. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable. We had a lovely European breakfast of pastries, etc. every morning. Both Valeria and Paola were extremely...

I had a clean, comfortable room in a convenient location. The management is friendly and attentive. The hotel offers a very good breakfast. There are numerous restaurants in the area and there is a large supermarket within a short distance. Roma Termini is nearby and there are lots of bus routes and several metro lines.

Capitolium Rooms was perfect for our stay in Rome. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. The location is good and within a 5-7 min walk from Termini metro station which will take you anywhere in Rome.

Very friendly and helpful reception, rooms are quiet and cosy, furnished with taste. Beds comfortable, bathroom as it should be. Extensive, tasty buffet breakfast. Excellent coffee!! Termini Central Station rather close as well as the city centre. A good "Roman" restaurant only 100m from the hotel.

Me and my parents stayed four nights and we really enjoyed it, breakfast was nice and the rooms were very clean and big. Staff were lovely, would definitely recommend this place, good value for money. I really liked the coffee machine, you could choose a wide variety of drinks to try.

A cheeky little weekend break was made with this beautiful hotel. Really closely situated to the main train terminal, lovely rooms and the girls on the desk could not have been more helpful. Loved it and will be our first port of call if we revisit Roma.

Can't be beat for about 40USD. Great beds, clean room, nice window view. Free breakfast beat another 4 star hotel I visited. Recommended for an affordable stay. Mini bar is not free but affordable, offers transport services. WiFi was very weak in Room 5 (1 bar), sat in a chair inside by the door (4-5 bars). Tricky to find this...

We arrived very late at night but found the street it was on quite easily. When you arrived on the outside it just looked like the front door to an apartment block. There were many buzzers and only a small standard buzzer sign that didnt really stand out from the rest but still it said what it needed to "...

So glad we chose to stay in this old, classic place instead of a standard modern hotel. It was a very short walk to the main station terminal and the tourist buses. The room was on a floor in an old apartment building so there's no bar etc, but we were more than happy with that.It was quite basic with a shower/wet...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

“ Since this is a not a large hotel, the reception desk is not open 24/7. Guests who plan to arrive in the late afternoon or evening should call ahead. I definitely recommend this hotel.”

“Breakfasts fairly light so you may want to take some snack bars if you are peckish - milk in the communal area after breakfast hours would be helpful if you fancy a cuppa any other time during the day.”
