Apart from being BRILLIANTLY located (it is only a short walk away from Roma Termini station, the Colosseum and the Roman Forum) Frank and Solidad could not have made us more welcome. Really felt that any questions we had we could ask them - or consult one of the many travel guides littered about! We were given many good recommendations...

We have just returned from our first visit to Rome and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Franks house is well located for sight seeing as most attractions are within walking distance and there is a Metro stop only 2 minutes away to get to Vatican City and slightly more distant places if interest. The accommodation was perfect for us as we...

We stayed there for 3 nights. It was great value for money. The room was very clean, bright and comfortable. Huge bed, very nice balcony and nice bathroom inside. There was no breakfast but it's realy not a problem in Rome. Definitely will back! Thank you Frank!

We stayed in the large room with ensuite bath in October, and out eight nights there were great! Frank met us when we arrived and began being a great host, advising on restaurants, bakeries, getting around, and just making himself available to help make our stay more enjoyable. He and his wife were available for help getting around the city....

We stayed in the large room with ensuite at Frank’s House for 4 nights in October. The room was huge and beautiful! We loved having a couch to relax on and the shower was the best of our trip! The location was very close to the metro and train station, which was great for getting into and out of town...

We were delighted to discovered Frank's house on a recent trip through Rome. We rented both rooms for ourselves and our two friends. So I can say both rooms are great! They're comparable in size, with large beds, nice sheets and furnishings. One has a bathroom in the room and a window looking out onto the street. The other has...

Just got back from a trip to Italy & stayed 3 nights at Frank's House in Rome on our way to a cruise. It was wonderful! I initially found his place on www.cross-pollinate.com. Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
