We really enjoyed our stay here - maybe our favorite hotel ever! Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, room was beautiful, and you can't beat the location. They were kind enough to have breakfast delivered to our room because we were leaving before the breakfast officially started - it was delicious. I'm so sad they're no longer bookable through Hyatt, I already miss this place!
A wonderful little gem, tucked away in a small street where everyone is engaging and looking to help. From the very friendly general manager Flavio, who made a point of checking in with us, to the waiters to the day manager and the night manager. Cannot wait to come back.
A beautiful eclectic hotel, fabulously located a stones throw from the hustle and bustle. Discrete, outstanding service. Attention to detail at its best. Perfect wine selection, canapés, and breakfasts. Spacious rooms with Individual wine fridges.
My husband and I can't say enough about this wonderful hotel. It's stylish, sexy, and luxurious all hidden away on a small side street in the heart of Rome. The general manager Favio and his staff spare no detail in making your stay here perfect. This hotel specializes in wine and each room is fixed with a selection custom tailored to the visitor. W In reading several reviews, I can only add my praises about this gem of a boutique hotel. Do yourself a favor and book a stay!
Very enjoyable stay at a small boutique hotel. Modern and comfortable rooms on a small street so very quiet. Excellent bed and shower. A very good breakfast. Hotel has an extensive wine cellar and wine tasting is offered. Restaurant recommendations was also excellent. We will be back.
I recently stayed there with Ormina Tours and LOVED it! From the moment you walk in the door you can understand why this boutique hotel is something special. The palazzo is made up of 8 suites that have a truly glamorous yet intimate vibe so you know you are being well looked after. Assigned with your own personal sommelier, this hotel offers a truly modern approach to Roman hospitality. Taken to our suite we were delighted by the warm ambience of the room. It had an interesting mix of vintage and retro styles, not surprisingly as the hotel is designed by fashion creative directors Daria Reina and Andrea Ferolla. Beautiful Roman frescoes are mixed with intricately hand painted wallpapers, with the added touch of a personal in-room wine cellar! Over the course of three days we partook in one of the wine packages they offered (they also do one and six day packages – read more here). We had a very friendly driver pick us up and take us wine-tasting. It was also fantastic to unwind at the end of the day to an organised dinner with local wine producers. The hotel bar is an excellent, intimate place to enjoy an aperitif or spend the entire night with cocktails and wine. Chatting with the staff really made my experience that much more enjoyable and welcoming. If you enjoy cigars, or simply beautiful leather chairs, do not miss their smoking room, complete with a war chest of Cubans. The staff are always friendly and offered impeccable service throughout our stay. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Rome!…
I was extremely impressed by entire experience at the Hotel de Ricci. Everything was perfect. Reception was welcoming, rooms are outstanding, bar and bartender were great! This is a wine lovers hotel dream. Private wine cellar (8 bottles 4 red and 4 white) to choose to purchase. Is a unique idea that even hotels in Napa haven’t caught on yet. This is the best kept secret in Rome!
From the welcome with espresso to the wonderful staff, very nice and clean rooms to the perfect breakfast, a true marvel in Rome. Within walking distance to many sites, this little hotel is perfectly situated.
We spent a month traveling around Italy, starting and ending in Rome. We came across the Hotel De’Ricci when looking for wine hotels in Italy, given we are from the Napa Valley. After spending our first 3 days in Rome we were very clear that there was only one place we would stay in Rome upon our return at the end of our trip, The De’Ricci. The staff is incredible. Friendly, professional, incredibly responsive, and they did everything they could to make our stay as close to perfection as possible. And they are all Somms, or have extensive food and wine experience. Silvia, Paola, Irene and Joi were absolutely wonderful. The property also has a treasure with The Charade Bar. Whether for breakfast, dinner, wine or cocktails before dinner or to end the day we found ourselves frequently there. Damiano and Jason made us feel so at home that it was sad to say goodbye to our new friends. And the cocktails were innovative, other worldly, and most importantly, delicious. And to top it off, the hotel is right around the corner from Pierluigi, an incredible seafood restaurant that dates back to the late ‘30’s. As we stayed twice at the property during our trip we also got to experience several of their rooms. The design, art and luxurious comfort throughout the property, as well as it’s central location left me feeling that I would have a hard time staying anywhere else in Rome. A fantastic small property in the heart of Rome that I would go back to in a heartbeat. …
I am almost hesitant to write this review because I want to keep Hotel De Ricci as my little secret and not have too many people come and ruin this gem, but I MUST give this hotel the credit it's due. Hotel De Ricci was a great find! My husband and I were actually booked someplace else and in my search for a cigar lounge, I was directed to this hotels lounge. But when I started looking through their website I was like, this place looks better, and ended up cancelling my existing reservation and booking a suite here. Best decision!! The unique style of the rooms was a great touch, the size was perfect for me and my husband. The service was top notch. The cleanliness of the hotel was on par. It's nice that they only have 8 suites that make up this hotel and it's modern style makes you feel comfortable immediately. The location is perfect for people that like to get to the action but don't want to stay in the midst of it. There are plenty of local restaurants and cafes in walking distance so I don't see the need to get the breakfast package due to the high price the hotel charges (i.e. one tea bag was 10 euros) which is like most hotels. And if you are accustome to exchanging US dollars for euros at your hotel, you will not get that service here so plan to do your exchange elsewhere. I'll admit, when we researched this hotel, I was concerned that we couldn't find one bad review on all the different review platforms. I thought, are these reviews real. But now I can attest that they ARE real and I can add to their high review score. Keep up the great work guys and stick to your model...it works!! And to Tony, we weren't able to do our fruity cocktail challenge but we appreciate your conversation and engaging personality. Blessing to you and your family.…
