The b&b was good although maybe slightly over priced. No one was there when I arrived and I never saw a member of staff so I could pay when I left but other than that it was good. Rooms are clean central location

We visited Galilei guest house in March 2016. We had a room with double bed as we had asked for and bathroom in. Very clean and nice room. Hot water all the time. A kitchen was in the guest house with milk, juice and coffee all the time. It had a bohemian style so if you are looking for luxurity... More

At the begining of September, we booked a room for three persons with one large bed and a little one. The room wasn't very clean but the worst was the bathroom and the kitchen. The bathroom was shared with an other room (what we ignored), the shower was very very small, a dirty curtain replaced the broken shower doors. During... More

The Galilei Guest House is probably the simplest and more comfortable accommodation I ever stayed in a city. When you arrive, there is no sign at the door, so dont panic and press the buzzer with the name and someone will be expecting you. The apartment is on the 4th floor of this amazing old building about 5 minutes walk... More

We absolutely loved staying at this hotel! It's so very Italian! Located in a block of flats - that means you'll enjoy high ceilings, tiled floor and authentic design of rooms, the nice double-door lift and meet native Italian neighbours. The manager, David, is extremely friendly and helpful, providing you with a map and anything you might need while staying... More

Basic room but just what I needed. It has a good location in a quiet area. The breakfast is self-service. When I got there I had to call the owner as there is no reception. A young friendly French guy came after 15 minutes after I called and gave me all the information I needed.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
