My friend and I stayed at Margutta 54 for four nights this past March. As we work together but don't usually vacation together we wanted an accommodation that had a little extra room (not the usually tiny European hotel room). Margutta 54 definitely fit the bill. We had a suite on the second floor with a huge bedroom, two immense...

The location was great, very central and yet secluded. We could walk to most tourist sites easily. There is an underground train nearby so there are some rumblings but these stop in the night and it was quiet then. The room was clean, very spacious and well equipped. However we did have a couple of issues with the room. We...

For us this is the best place to stay in Rome. 1st rate serviced apartments close to the Spanish Steps but wonderfully quiet and great value for a top city centre location. All the major sights are walkable from here. Very clean and well maintained. Loads of places to eat and drink close by.

This is the 2nd time we went to Rome with our girls, and couldn't be more happy with the decision of staying at Margutta 54. We stayed at 1 suite (1 King bed, 1 sofa bed and 1 roll away bed). The bedroom is huge. We had a couple of downs when we got there (TV and safe were not...

Our 2nd visit to stunning Margutta 54 & really loved spending our last three Rome nights in the Superior Suite with direct access to the private, quiet courtyard. Very spacious & comfortable for the three of us (shared our love for Rome with our son this trip). I loved the distant soothing rumble of the subway - it almost "rocked"...

We had trouble finding the hotel reception, but were ultimately impressed with the size and quality of our junior suite. My partner, who is a light sleeper, had to use earplugs to muffle the subway nose.

Perfect location equidistant from the Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo. Despite very central location the hotel itself was situated within a courtyard off a side street so the environs were peaceful and serenely quiet. Drophead waterfall shower. Nice toiletries. Huge backlit plasma with excellent satellite TV options. Seamless air con. Mammoth bed with soft pillows and mattress to die...

We stayed in the big suite 78sqm. Room was very spacious, clean and well laid out. In a quaint and very secure part of Rome (Spagna) and super convenient to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Researched many places and for the same price you would get a 30-35sqm room so this is a great place. Do it!!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Picasso, Puccini and Stravinsky all made Via Margutta their home. Now, you, too, can draw inspiration from Margutta 54, a unique boutique hotel on Rome's most beautiful, atmospheric street, located a stone's throw from the Spanish Steps. To stay at our collection of converted artist's studios, you have to be as "in the know" as a true Roman. So step off of Via Margutta into a private courtyard-a hidden secret on the gallery-lined street. Walk through the gates into a historic palace setting. And know that here, in the shadow of Picasso's studio, you're home. At Margutta 54, rather than a hotel client, you feel like you are living as an authentic Roman. Make yourself comfortable: enjoy the peace of the private courtyard. Indulge in the exclusivity of residing in an historic artist studio. ... more   less
