We stayed here last weekend having booked his sister hotel which was closed for renovation. We arrived 4 hours late due to delayed flight and the shuttle bus breaking down, he called me after 3 hours to make sure we were on route and stayed up to meet us even though it was past 10pm. He didn't even charge us...

I was not originally booked to stay here, I was supposed to be in a similar b & b on the floor below but a disaster with a flooded bathroom made it impossible to stay there so I was moved upstairs to "At Your Place" where I was welcomed at the street door by the lovely Luca who owns it....

I travelled alone, and used the limo service which worked nicely. According to other reviews you could probably use cheaper options like a shuttle bus (to/from Piazza Cavour). I had already planned and ordered tickets for sightseeing before arriving. Luca, the host, however seemed quite helpful if you needed help booking guided tours, and also tips about what to see....

We stayed at Luca's in September 2016. We had never been to Rome before but found we had picked an excellent location - safe, close to the Vatican, within easy reach of bus and metro and within walking distance of many of the popular city sights. The B&B is located in a lovely building. Luca is very helpful, providing maps,...

We stayed at this B&B back in 2011 and returned in early September 2016, and our most recent stay was just as great as our first. Luca was a terrific host, providing maps and restaurant recommendations as well as a delicious breakfast every morning. When our flight home was delayed and then cancelled, Luca spent an hour on the phone...

We stayed at Luca's "place" for four nights in July 2016. My wife had visited Rome before and chose to stay here, close to the Vatican. This was an excellent decision, the area is safe, it's a few minutes' walk to St Peter's and the rest of the city is easily accessible, either on foot or by metro. The room...

We stayed at this b&b 2.5 years ago and have never been at a better b&b. Luca is a great host and the breakfast was wonderful. The location is perfect and we could reach most attractions on foot! Thanks for an unforgettable experience!

Luca was very nice and accommodating and the room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the location and were able to walk everywhere. Unfortunately our next door neighbors were very loud both nights of our stay which kept us up every few hours while they were chatting loudly and in and out slamming doors at 12:30 & 3:30 & 5...

Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights in a quad room on July 2016. The place is located in a very safe neighborhood close to Vatican and about 15 min walk to Pantheon and Trevi. Rooms were well maintained. But the most important point is the personal attention Luca pays. He is a thorough gentleman. It was fun...

Our 4 day stay "at your place" was very nice and relax. Breakfast is very good, location is great, room clean and overall 10/10, really is a exceptional place. Vatican city and some major attractions in Rome also closed. Restaurants, convenience store and Nice Gelato place also near.

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
