I was there last month with my fiancé. We booked one room for 2 nights and it was terrible. The walls really dirty and the window really small, so we was asking for another room and the 2nd one was the same and we said No again. We was about to give them the key and book another room in... More

Checked in at the local pub and someone took us to the room. A little tatty around the edges, but it did the job and the location is pretty good. Next morning whilst out and about the Flann Pub phoned me, and after five minutes or so I managed to get out of her that I needed to pay the... More

Located near the Roma Termini station and the Opera House Metro, Flann O'Brien rooms are a great place for a couple who can climb stairs. AC, TV, and internet make it good for crashing after a good, long day of sight-seeing, and the included breakfast is a good start to the morning. It's NOT a luxury suite, but it's clean,... More

We have recently returned from a 7 night stay at Flann O'Brien rooms. I researched for a few days before eventually booking this establishment as we wanted a reasonably priced room with breakfast, within walking distance of everything and with good reviews and Flanns ticked all the boxes. On arrival we were taken to a building on a side street... More

We went there thinking there would be good Irish food and music but there was none of both. The menu is quiet varied but quality was awful. We had two Irish meat burgers but these were tasteless to say the least. Also pricey. Expected way better.

We stayed here for one night in April. The staff were some of the nicest we encountered in Rome! The rooms are simple and a bit dated, but they are clean and perfect if you plan to spend most of your time touring Rome anyway. We really appreciated their superior service. I would recommend!

The staff was quite nice and they adviced us on the sights and transportation. We had a quiet room, not in the primary rooms on top of the bar, but in a quiet apartment area just a small way from the Flann O'Brien. The room was spotless and very well equipped for it's price. The location was spot on! We... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
