My mom and I stayed one night at the Relais Donna Lucrezia in the Junior Suite with Balcony before heading on the rest of our stay in Italy. I wish we had stayed at the Relais Donna Lucrezia for our entire visit! It was a lovely experience. We arranged to have a car pick us up from the airport which made getting into the city a breeze. We were greeted at the door by Nelson who was just wonderful. He showed us to our room, gave us recommendations on where to eat, and was just a pleasure to be around. The room was great (clean and comfortable) and extremely spacious. We both really enjoyed the adorable little balcony. There was a nice breakfast served from 8-10 in the morning and small cakes and cookies provided throughout the day as well. The location was perfect. All of the major sites like the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain were within walking distance but the hotel is in a quiet area of town away from the really busy and chaotic street. I highly recommend the Relais Donna Lucrezia and hope to return soon.

Property's Favourite Review
It was a stroke of good luck that I discovered Relais Donna Lucrezia, a palatial property next to Villa Borghese, built by the lady’s great-grandfather Count Moroni, just a short stroll away from the famed Via Veneto, the Spanish Steps, great shopping, wonderful restaurants, and world-class art and architecture. This is a very private gated property meticulously maintained by Lucrezia, her manager Nelson, and his wife. Our stay came with delicious daily breakfast prepared on site, with espresso and scrambled eggs made to order. The inside of the property was clean, modern, and elegant, the bed comfortable, and our room was serviced and sheets changed daily. Despite my last-minute flight change, Signora Lucrezia was able to send someone to pick me up at the airport at short notice. She introduced us to fabulous local restaurants that could put any Michelin-starred venues to shame. My husband and I visited the major attractions including Trevi Fountain, Piazza Barberini, Church of Santa Maria della Vittoria, Rinascente department store, the Spanish Steps, Galleria Borghese, just to name a few, all on foot. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, suitable for families to stay. To get a pre-fight Covid test, one just had to walk five minutes to a pharmacy on the nearby Via Bissolati. We had a great time staying at Relais Donna Lucrezia for a fraction of the price you would pay at nearby hotels. Now the secret is out. I hope this property won’t be fully booked when I next visit Rome.

Not sure i really want to write this as I'd prefer to ensure we can always book with no availability issues in the future! A delightfully furnished boutique hotel, very clean and safe environment with lovely staff around you. Breakfast offers everything you'd really want and need. Good location with some decent restaurants very close by and very safe. While there are bus stops and a metro station nearby, we walked everywhere - 10 mins to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps, 25-30 mins to Coliseum and similar to the Vatican but lots to see enroute. We arranged a taxi to/from the airport via Lucrezia and is the same price as getting one in the street but more reliable i'd suggest. We were made to feel very welcome and will definitely return

I spent a few days in Rome and I chose to stay in this hotel. Forget the big hotel. This is a sort of boutique hotel where the atmosphere is very welcoming and familiar. Nelson, the friendly and helpful handyman, is an incredible resource. The large and spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. Top cleaning. Breakfast with homemade products is delicious. Can't wait to go back!

This hotel is in a lovely quiet area near the Borghese Gardens and many restaurants. Our jr suite room was well appointed, spacious and had a private terrace overlooking the street. The bathroom was large and modern. Breakfast was abundant ABC delicious, but only served from 8-10. Sadly, if you have early tours or an early flight, you will miss it as happened to us on two of our three mornings. I would suggest that you clarify how to get into the gate off the street if you arrive later in the day. It is very difficult to determine what buzzer to press, especially in the dark, and we were scolded for pushing it too many times. Also the elevator did not work when we left to catch our flight - not so fun at 6 am to carry 4 pieces of luggage down many stairs. Nelson was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and arranging cabs. Overall, a pleasant place to stay in busy Rome.

This is a perfect place to stay if you like something that is personal and endowed with meaning! Lucrezia, the owner, transformed her grand family apartment into a guesthouse five years ago, and is running it with great attention and care, with help of a friendly staff. It is a peaceful place with a very pleasant atmosphere. The room was spacious, bright, and clean, the design and furnishing elegant and comfortable, with each object carefully selected and hiding a story of its past. You can watch the life of the neigbourhood unfold from the little balcony. With young children we appreciated the nearby park of Giardini di Villa Borghese, the feel of the neighbourhood including Spanish steps and Piazza del Popolo, and the beautiful views alongside the terraces of Villa Medici in the warm light of our evening walks. Our children also enjoyed the old-fashioned lift with beautiful details, and all the breakfast treats! The neighbourhood feels safe, just a little outside of the main tourist areas with a feel of everyday life, with mainly professional offices (also in the house itself) and cultural institutes/embassies around, and well connected by public transport to other parts of the city.

When we got to the hotel at night we thought there mas a mistake. No sign outside. No lights. No one to receive us. It seems like a closed building. When we got in the manager came down the elevator to meet us downstaris and when he saw we were 2 people he acted unpolitely and told us thet there would be an extracharge because we were 2. I asked if we could have a refund and he said why would I give you a refund??????. That is how it started. We went into the hotel that is in one of the floors of the semi abandoned building and got in. Once there the interiors were nice. We wrnt directly to rest. The next morning we received 2 calls of the manager Nelson threatrning us to leave or he would charge us another night. Manners count.

Thanks for the review. If the booking is for one person it is normal that there is a supplement since you were two people. Also since check out is at 11 and no one in the room answered, we had to insist because the room had to be cleaned for the next customers. Thanks

We had a great stay for 5 days in this gem close to the Villa Borghese in Rome. Nelson & Lucrezia were phenomenal every minute of the day and offered an exquisite service. The room for 4 was ample and lovely and the gluten free breakfast was great. We will return!!
