Me and my family were on a holiday in Italy and we spent half our stay in pompeii (this is about 2016-2015 in british spring half term) the accommodation was amazing, we had and amazing holiday. The staff were fully understanding when we extended our stay and the breakfast was amazing, best latte I ever had and the first, this truly is a hotel to stay in. BTW time written below in not correct in year but roughly correct in month.
I booked this hotel on line, never been to stay there before. The hotel was very clean and the atmosphere was excellent, Nadia the manager spoke excellent English which was helpful as my Italian is not great. Nothing was too much trouble for her and her assistant. The building itself is very rustic and charming and so close to the centre of town. I loved it and hope to return soon.
We stayed here only one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Catello and Nadia are wonderful hosts, and the atmosphere of the hotel lives up to it's name of (in English) Peace Hotel. It is set back from the road, quiet, and gives a peaceful feeling in the courtyard. The beds were comfortable, the room sufficiently spacious, and breakfast was lovely as well. We highly recommend the hotel and look forward to staying here again.
After the Hotel I wanted to stay in did not have twin rooms available for our selected dates, I really looked for somewhere that had good reviews and this seemed lovely. It is in a really convenient location within minutes from two railway stations and a 10-15 minute walk from Pompei itself. There are good restaurants close by and little deli shops selling gorgeous Italian bread. The hotel is situated down a courtyard and through gates which feels secure. The people who run the hotel are lovely and very helpful and everything's seems clean if a little faded and the decor in the room we had was a bit worn. We didn't have breakfast in the Hotel as there were lots of good options close by. I was massively disappointed in our room which was on the first floor as there was no proper window or view, just a sliver of window at the top of the wall just before the ceiling which made the room seem small and dark yet which, because of no curtains, woke me very early every morning as it got light. The bed was quite comfy and the bathroom was nice and clean. Be aware though that towels are only changed every day as a charge of 1 euro per towel. There is baggage storage offered which was also nice. So, my totally honest recommendation would be, its ok, the owners are lovely, but definitely check which room you are getting, or at least be prepared for absolutely no view just four, slightly depressing and definitely needing painting, walls.…
I have just returned from a four day stay in this hotel. I know that many travellers want something swish and sophisticated in which case they would not be happy staying here, however, I found it absolutely charming. It is plain and simple and provides everything you need and is within a 10 minute walk of the Pompeii ruins -right in the centre of very noisy modern Pompeii. It is however an incredibly tranquil spot, set back from the road behind a lovely garden. It is spotlessly clean up and run by two of the nicest people you could possibly meet. Simplicity is the order of the day. It is a fabulous place to visit the ruins and within five minutes walk of two railway stations giving easy access to other attractions. Nadia at the hotel can give all sorts of tips on how to access other tourist spots nearby without paying the exorbitant rates charged by local tour companies. For those travellers flying into Naples airport, the way to avoid expensive taxi fares from the airport to Pompeii (we were quoted €100 by the information desk at the airport) is incredibly simple. Outside the airport catch the Alibus to Naples Central Garibaldi station (5 euros) then the train to Pompeii (2 euros 60 cents). I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel especially at its’ incredibly reasonable rates. …
