A few days to see Pompeii ruins and Herculaneum. Hotel across the road from the entrance to Pompeii, which was very busy on the Saturday night but amazingly quiet for the next two days. We stayed in a standard room which was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was standard continental, no complaints. The restaurant was excellent, plenty to choose from and good quality food. Not expensive either. Staff were very good. Train to Herculaneum was 2 euros each way. Taxi 30 euros each way.

Lovely hotel overlooking the main Pompeii archeological site, the entrance was a few yards away. Staff at reception were welcoming and all spoke English. Rooms were clean and airy and had air conditioning which was very welcome. The bathroom had lots of bath products, robes and slippers to use. The wardrobe had a safe you could use. Breakfast was good but sparse, probably due to fact not many people were staying. The view from the 4th floor window was fantastic showing the site and Vesuvius in all its glory which made up for this. Breakfast is only served till 10am so be quick. There is a supermarket a short walk down the road which we purchased snacks and drinks and stored them in the fridge (mini bar). Great place to stay, I would avoid the restaurant downstairs and go to Stuzzico a short walk into town. There was a lift up to the rooms and a disability lift up to the 1st floor.…

We are yet to stay at the Hotel del Sole due to unfortunate COVID 19 situation. Even though I had booked a non refundable room, Linda has kindly offered a voucher for us to stay there in the future. At a time like this it is great customer service that will protect businesses & this is definitely the case with this estabilishment. Looking forward to staying with them in the near future & will update with another review once that has been possible. Thank you again Linda for all your help & hope you & all the other staff are safe.

Booked 3 night stay in pompeii and the pictures really done it justice so I booked. Upon arrival all okay then we get to our room bearing in mind low season we unlocked the door to what can only be described as a shoe box size room!! Beds were single and pushed together and my partner fell in between at night as not put together properly hurt her shoulder, no tea and coffee making facilities either very strange and when complained was told all rooms are this size?? Which is a lie and that the beds are all single pushed together and cleaner should have set room up better!!! Great service fobbed off really as would have expected better!! View at breakfast was highlight but if you want a bigger room n better service think before you book as a suite is only bigger room despite me booking the second best room of 3 available can only imagine what lesser room was like??!!…
