My wife & I stayed here in July 2016, not 2018. We arrived shortly before the owner, Marianna, had, so we waited in the courtyard. The exterior appeared tired, but the room itself was very nice. The A/C worked great, and it was spacious. Having just arrived from Rome where a rock may have been more comfortable than our previous hotel, this bed was a delight. The bathroom was clean, as was the kitchenette. For a guy my height, the shower was a tad small, but that is Europe, isn't it? We stayed one night and switched over to another hotel to be closer to the train we needed the next day. We regretted that, as this B&B was head & shoulders above the next place we stayed. When we return in a few years (we now have a child and will have another before we travel again), we will consider staying here again. It's location was great - a stone's throw from the core of the town.…
A little gem this is. A nice apartment housing a couple and one also kids. Kicthenette, a lovely lady organizing even breakfast (but that is sweet pastry, nothing savoury). The place is supercentral, literally 3 moinutes away from the Pompeji entry and also city centre plaza. Perfect to stay for the visit of the ruins or the concert in the amphitheatre.
The level of customer service was disgusting. The owner had overbooked and decided to put me up in another hotel across the road...after waiting nearly an hour for her to turn up!!! When I finally did get in the apartment it was bog standard, nothing fancy and the front door is like a metal factory door. There was a severe thunder and rain storm when I stayed and it was so cold in the room. I never saw the owner again just the cleaner who was lovely. I will never stay here again even though I have already visited Pompeii for a second time within a year and aim to bring my family next. I strongly suggest the female owner learns some organisational skills and some empathy for future guests!
Great location for visiting the Pompeii ruins. However, the rest was not so good. Upon arrival we were informed there was a pricing error and actually the price should have been an additional €150 more than the price paid. Even though we had booked months in advanced and spoken on the phone before hand, this was only mentioned at check-in. As we booked through ebookers, we advised Marinna that she would need to deal with them directly. Throughout our stay, we had no hot water (even though we had called and spoken to Marianna about this) nothing was done and no attempt to assist was seen to be made. We also received no breakfast on our second morning there, and no instructions to check out.
Very cozy accomodation, great location close to the center of Pompei and Pompei Scavi, excellent service provided by Marianna (appartment owner),good breakfast every day into the room, perfect cleaning. Since May 2017 I come back every month due to the business trip and I always choose to stay at this B&B, because I feel more at home compare to hotel rooms. Marianna always give me the same room, which I appreciated. I usualy spend there 1-2 weeks. I can say this is my second home in Italy :-) Highly recommended!
