We stayed 2 nights at the hotel early September 2020. Had 2 rooms - one freshly renovated to a good standard, one more dated but still clean and perfectly acceptable. Very good breakfast. A huge plus is a proximity to the Pompei ruins. The traffic did not bother me. The water was not very warm in the night but was ok in the morning. Will definitely stay again!
Our room had been recently renovated and was clean and inviting, my sons room was older but still clean and well kept. A fridge and kettle were provided in the room as well as an ironing board and iron. Balcony over looked pompeii ruins which was lovely and perfect for morning coffee or glass of wine in the evening as table and chairs were there too Downside was the road was busy next to it. we stayed on a Saturday night and the whole town was out enjoying life so traffic was heavy enough which I'm not used to so ear plugs might be handy if noise at night bothers you Its walking distance from both train stations and right by the gate for the ruins Breakfast was a feast with everything you could want to fuel you for the day ahead Staff were super helpful
Average Hotel, requiring renovation and staff has difficulty in speaking English and unable to guide customers properly. Only few people from staff are soft spoken and helping(eg., a handsome young man at the reception). One young lady at reception is rude and doesn't guide properly and in fact she misguides customers. There are two train stations in Pompeii (Scavi and Trenitalia). For Scavi you will have to climb uphill around 400 mts from Hotel and for Trenitalia you will have to walk 2 kms from property (straight road). If you have public transportation in mind during your stay then do not stay here, Sita bus cannot be relied upon in this city and cabs take 15 Euro from Trenitalia station to/from this hotel one way (Hotel staff might misguide you saying 20-25 Euro). Also, when coming from Trenitalia station during day you could buy shuttle ticket form 3 Euro per person from station to tuins from tobacco shop at station. Also, Trenitalia has bus service running between station and ruins, you may book from their website. The Hotel is next to main road, heavy traffic movement throughout the day & night. The Hotel is next to Pompeii ruins and everything near hotel shuts down around 5 pm and hotel restaurant opens only for breakfast and sometimes for lunch, if lucky & touristy. You will feel isolated after 5 pm and only 1 care taker sleeps in the hotel at night and locks hotel from inside after 6 pm, you will have to ring a bell to open request that person to open hotel gate for you. The hotel and neighbourhood can be scary, stay inside room after 6 pm. One Carefour Supermarket is at distance of 1-2 kms from Hotel (open till 9 pm - check timings). The room has heating with no temperature control. Its better to stay in Naples (30-40 minutes from Pompeii) or just spend a night at this property if you have no other option or are very keen on staying at Pompeii ruins. You could have only a day visit to Pompeii (3-5 hours enough to explore) and return to Naples (big city and ample options). Avoid Scavi train (Circumvenna) since its very old, poor shockers, you will feel like travelling in a moving box with roller coaster, its close to ruins though. For Vesuvius mountain, you can take local bus for 3-6 Euro one way just outside Scavi station, don't fall into the trap of local guides as they will rip you off your money and ticket to climb mountain only costs 8 euro per person (to be bought at spot), however, once you reach at Vesuvius then bus will stop at point of entry of National Park/ climbing point and one/two local person (girls) will enter the bus and sell you ticket for 10 Euro per person instead of 8 (probably bus driver has commission in it). If you can walk for 5 minutes then go directly to the ticketing counter, you will have to walk 5 minutes from where bus drops you.…
We were tow couples who stayed here for one night. The only reason to stay here is for the close walk to the ruins. It actually felt a little creepy. This is a very run down hotel, our ceiling had masking tape on it holding it up in places. Breakfast was not good, stale breads, cold coffee.... The place is over run during the day with tour buses, and full of tour groups at night. Stay somewhere else.
I must have missed something so many others saw. This is a rather run down hotel that has seen way too many guests since it was last renovated. The standard room is spartan, poorly painted, loud with street noise and the worst of all, there was no hot water in either room. It's like they are trying to cut every corner they can. The desk staff was gruff. The shower was very small, pillows are hard, screens don't work. Overall, the only positive was it's close location to the park entrance. If you drive pull into the one way street the wrong way to get to the hotel entrance. I cannot recommend this hotel
