Poor accomodations, poor attitude of owner. She never smiled. However, the evening hotel clerk was very nice. Breakfast was poor. Rooms small. Outside grounds were poorly kept. It is a shame because it could be very beautiful. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Room was a good size - and has some views across the Marina Grande from a balcony. Everything was a bit shabby though, and the hotel is quite far from both central Capri town and the harbour (it's on the bus route though). We didnt try out the pool or its bar - they might be good for relaxing as...

We were in two minds about The Bristol due to reading earlier reviews about noise. The hotel is nothing special but we enjoyed our stay and found it an OK locale for our visit. Our room overlooked the mountains & pool (by the sound of other reviews, the extra for sea views might not be worth it). The room we...

We stayed there one night in June 2008. The so called ocean view room is that you can get a peek of the water on the side of a building in front of you while standing outside of the room on the deck. The room was hot; airconditioning wasn't working. They first said that no one available to help, then...

We just returned from an overnight stay at the Hotel Bristol on Capri. We had a wonderful time and the hotel surpassed our expectations. We booked through the hotel directly and reserved an ocean view suite (we have 2 young children). Our rate of 150 Euros included the suite and breakfast inclusive (remember, November is off season in Capri). We...

My wife an I have just now returned home to Ireland, having spent the most enjoyable and memorable week at the Hotel Bristol. Via Capo, Sorrento I cannot begin to explain how much we enjoyed our stay . Everyone we met who were staying here, all agreed that this hotel is the finest and definitely 5 star in our view....

Unfortunately, I cannot agree with those who consider The Bristol hotel a good hotel. It is located on a curve, right on the main road that goes from the port to the center, with plenty of cars going up and down and un-breathable smokes stinking out the rooms. Actually, you cannot leave the window open!!!! There’s no pool, no view...

Lovely hotel; impressive customer service, especially from desk manager, who made all arragements for us. Owner personally brought our wine. Only inconvenient was that a/c is not working until June as a Hotel rule; but we left door and window open and a nice breeze kept the room cool. Also noise from cars and scooters uphill and downhill could be...
