Hotel Leone garners high praise for its exceptional service, with many guests highlighting the staff's warm and attentive manner. While the rooms are celebrated for their cleanliness and pleasing design, there's a caveat regarding noise insulation. The hotel's central location is frequently commended, providing guests with convenient access to local sights and dining options.
Value-wise, the hotel is considered a reasonable choice, bolstered by amenities such as complimentary parking. However, some reviewers have mentioned limitations with the pool and bar offerings. The serene atmosphere, underscored by features like the tranquil lemon garden and pool, also receives positive remarks.

Detailed Reviews
We are currently staying in this hotel and we are blown away by the quality of the services, facilities, cleanliness, location and friendliness of the staff. The COVID precautions were well managed and we felt very secure. We can’t quite believe it’s only three stars, very deserving of four. We already can’t wait to come back again and will be recommending to everyone. Thank you to all the staff who made our trip away unforgettable, especially during this tough year

We stayed for 9 nights and really enjoyed our stay.
The hotel is in a great location, 10 mins max walk into the centre of Sorrento and very quiet at night time.
A great base for exploring all the sights in the area due to its proximity to the train station and bus station.
The hotel has a lovely pool and poolside bar for chilling after your sightseeing.
Breakfasts were great and dining is possible on the outside terrace amongst the citrus trees.
Breakfast staff superb and concierge staff very helpful dealing with all our enquiries about the area.
I think the hotel based trips were the best because you had the pick up and drop off at the hotel.
The only way the service could be improved would be more recommendations for places to eat in and around Sorrento… we found some stunning places but could have so easily missed them.
Over …stay here it’s perfect!

This hotel appears to be away from the center of Sorrento, but it is an easy and convenient walk to the city center action, and there is parking behind a gate. The staff are welcoming. The rooms are clean, of good size, there are nice big windows, the bathrooms are nice. There is a large pool. On the top floor is a nice terrace looking out to the nearby mountain. Breakfast is included and decent, although the only eggs were hard boiled eggs. The bed was not comfortable, but we are not sure why - we like a hard bed, but it still was not comfortable.
In trying to get to the hotel, Google Maps directed us to take Via Parsano from Via Santa Lucia, but the street is very narrow and if you have a full size car, it is not possible to pass through to the hotel. Take SS 145 (Via degli Aranci) and turn on Via Parsano to go to the hotel. Parking is behind the hotel.

Highly recommend this hotel! Everything was fantastic, and the staff were all amazingly friendly. Felt like a family run hotel which all staff cared for and all guests were very well looked after. The pool and pool bar were great, with lovely fresh food for lunch and reasonable drinks. The room was cleaned spotlessly every morning, with fresh towels daily. The hotel is in walking distance to everything you need, including the main piazza and beach areas, which was fantastic because taxis in Sorrento can be very expensive! Only thing to note was that it was a little noisy in the mornings in the corridor outside the room. We were getting up anyway to avail of the breakfast, but maybe bring ear plugs if looking for a lie-in. 10/10 recommend.

Hotel Leone is a boutique hotel perfectly located within steps of Piazza Tasso -the main square in Sorrento “Centro Storico”. The hotel is newly renovated. The rooms and the hotel grounds are clean and well kept. Our room was very spacious and had a beautiful balcony overlooking the pool. The staff is friendly, helpful and very accommodating. They offered suggestions for dining and touring. The pool was terrific and a great way to lounge around after a day in town or touring the Amalfi area. The pool area has a restaurant/snack bar always staffed for guest convenience. They also have a rooftop jacuzzi with views of the Sorrento landscape. The hotel offers parking which was very convenient. The breakfast was very good and offered a variety of items. You have the option to sit in the garden under lemon trees, overlooking the pool or indoor. Great hotel!! I would definitely return and would highly recommend.

On the whole, Hotel Leone is a hidden gem.
My wife and I are in our early 40’s and we visited Sorrento to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We found the hotel to be immaculately clean, the staff are attentive and courteous, the breakfast options are very good and the pool provides a great option for unwinding after those long days of walking around the Sorrento and nearby attractions.
We had breakfast on our balcony most mornings which we really enjoyed. The breakfast area or garden is great by the way, it was just our preference, and I would encourage you to try it.
Nb. This requires one of you (me) to head down to the breakfast area and collect the items you want on a tray to take back to the room. Thought I should make this clear to avoid anyone expecting the staff to take breakfast orders and deliver it to your room.
For us, the proximity of the hotel to the main area / strip with an abundance of restaurants, bars and shops was perfect. It took us approximately 5 mins to walk from the hotel to be stood in the heart of the action. The walk into town is a constant decent, so conversely on the way back….
This would not be a problem for anyone with reasonable / low levels of fitness, but for those with mobility issues / elderly, you may want to consider this.
I would only make one minor observation which is almost impossible to address post construction of the building. The walls are paper thin, consequentially, you hear every noise from connecting rooms. Fortunately, our neighbours were very good, but it could be an issue if you got the wrong crew beside you.
We would 100% return to the Hotel Leone again. Hope this review helps.

This is a comparatively small hotel with a boutique feel. It is very well-maintained and scrupulously clean. The atmosphere is calm and cool.
We arrived from Naples airport by bus, which drops off at Sorrento station. The hotel is only about 15 mins walk with luggage from the station, mostly on the level or gentle slopes, with a short uphill section at the end.
On arrival the welcome was warm and genuine. The room was simple, but well designed, attractively decorated in line with the hotel’s photos, and had effective air con (vital this summer!) The bathroom and shower worked very well.
Breakfast consists of a small, very well-chosen buffet replenished frequently by attentive and friendly staff. Notable features are gluten-free options and a range of dairy alternatives.
The hotel is well located for access of Sorrento’s old town within the city walls. The town is bustling, and we found it easy to fill our days with activities around the bay of Naples from the base there.
This hotel is charming. Every single member of the staff that we met - catering, pool, housekeeping and reception - had a smile and greeting. It was a pleasure to return there after a day’s exploring in the heat, and a bit of a wrench to leave. Highly recommended.

Nice clean hotel with very helpful staff. Not the best views from the hotel but we weren’t bothered by this as only using it as our base to explore Sorrento and the surrounding areas. Free secure parking was brilliant as we were leaving our car there for the Sorrento part of our trip. The location was perfect. Less than 10 minute walk to the main square and less than 20 mins to get to the port where it was easy to buy boat tickets. Less than 10 mins to walk to the train station which we used a couple of times. The rooms were basic but clean and it was nice to have a balcony. Not very soundproof though. We were woken up by bedroom doors slamming some mornings.
It was reasonably priced compared to others we had looked at and it really was the location and free parking that sold it to us.

The staff was very kind and helpful. They assist us with any request or issue we had.
The location was very good, right next to the main tourist street with all the shops and restaurants. It was also right next to a laundry place.
The free parking right next to the hotel was very comfortable.
The mattresses were horribly uncomfortable and you could feel the springs on the back.
The staff mentioned that all the mattresses are the same in the hotel. The staff was kind and allowed us to check a couple of rooms and see if there is a better matress. And indeed when we switched a room the mattresses were slightly better, but still terrible.
The staff was kind and tried to help by giving us blankets and foam toppings to cover the mattresses. This helped a bit, but it was still extremely uncomfortable.
My back was in pain the entire time I spent in this hotel.
We wanted to leave the hotel before our planned date due to to the above. The owner refused to refund us for the remaining days. Booking.com tried to mitigate the issue but the owner still refused. So we had to stay for the entire time we reserved.
In addition, the hotel was somewhat clean, but the towels often had stains on them.
The rooms are not sound proof, and you could hear everything from the next rooms and from above.
The breakfast was OK, but not great. The only egg options were hard boiled eggs.
Although the breakfast was until 10:00, if you arrive later than 9:15, some options were missing.

We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the hotel as it was sold as a three star hotel so exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly and our room on the 4th floor was very clean and spacious with a mini fridge and tea/coffee facilities. The location was perfect, a short walk to the centre for the restaurants and cafes/bars as well as the bus and train station. The pool was great and we were fortunate to have lovely weather for our stay so made use of the pool and pool towels which were provided. The pool bar staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Amino who went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. The continental breakfast was pleasant with varying choices each day. The hotel had a lovely bar area which would have been a lovely space to socialise but unfortunately, it was not open during our stay due to no staff available to man it. They offered only water or beer but it would have been ideal to return after our evenings out for a nightcap.

dear guest, we will open the swimming pool in april.
In may the temperature outside is always from 20 to 26 degrees
Is the best time to visit Sorrento, the weather is warm but not too hot.
The temperature is enough warm to swim from 11 to 17
Kind regards
Actually I think they were building one when I was there so I’m not sure.
Hi there, the hotel does not have a pool so no sunbeds I'm afraid.
No you have to request rooms at the front of the building
