I chose the hotel due to the reviews on TA and we were not disappointed. From the moment we made our reservation there was a line of communication from organising our transfer from Naples Airport to recommendations for restaurants prior to our arrival. Check in was easy and all of the staff on the front desk were welcoming, friendly and very helpful during our stay. One minor issue with an electric shutter for an outside window was rectified immediately. The hotel is well situated and only a 10 min walk from the train/bus station. The hotel is right by the lift that takes you to the port for the ferries and a 10 min walk to the Grand Marina. Loads of restaurants and shops near by. Our room was one of the smaller rooms but it was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and well maintained. Our thanks to the cleaning staff who cleaned daily. Breakfast was very good in fact one of the best breakfasts I have ever had in Italy. Plenty of choice with fresh vegetables and fruit, and home cooked cakes and pastries, I don’t normally have that for breakfast but it was hard to resist the temptation. The hotel offered a happy hour between 6-7pm daily which was very nice and gave an opportunity to meet other guests.
A special mention to Romelle (I hope I have spelt your name correctly) who served and looked after us at breakfast as well as the happy hour drinks. Always a smile and nothing was to much trouble. Many thanks to all of the staff for a great stay. This was personal service at a level not normally encountered in this day and age.

We booked two deluxe double rooms for a family of 4 and the hotel kindly put us in a private corner making it a family room. Rooms were a good size, clean and very comfortable.

The breakfast provided was excellent, fresh pastries and juices together with an alacarte menu. All the staff were friendly and helpful, greeting you with a smile at every encounter. They even noticed it was my son's birthday and surprised him with a lovely local cake.

Location was very central, just a short walk to the square and also to some highly rated nearby restaurants.

It was a truly relaxing stay and we'd stay here again if we ever get back to Sorrento.

This is a great hotel in a great location in Sorrento. We stayed in the "Glamour" room, which had one king bed and a door onto a balcony on courtyard. The room was nicely appointed and the hotel provided free water bottles each day. The food for breakfast, included in the room price, is incredible, with more choices than you can imagine. There are many spacious sitting rooms and verandas, and the hotel is in a quiet part of the town, less than a block from the harbor and (in the other direction) shopping. If we go to Sorrento again, and we hope to do so, we will definitely stay here.

Everything about this hotel is fabulous. Decor and rooms all very high standard and so tastefully done All the little touches just made it the special place that it is. If you are looking for something extra special you will not be disappointed. Great as a base for visiting along the Amalfi coast which was beautiful and a lot nicer than Sorrento itself which in early March was mainly shut getting ready for the Summer.
Only thing not so good about the room was the double bed was two singles put together. Positive# far outweigh the negatives though. Especially our massive veranda with chairs and sun loungers. Staff very friendly an£ helpful. I
felt like the whole family contributed to make it feel welcoming.

A great pleasure to have a weeks stay at this magnificent boutique hotel. This 15th century palazzo was, until recently, the residence of the Savarese family, who have left many items of furniture and pictures, so the feel is of being a guest in the palace, the rooms having names rather than numbers, ours was "Happiness".
The staff were welcoming, friendly and competent. There was someone in reception all day and a night porter.
Our room was beautifully furnished, air conditioned if required, although the rooms remained cool, despite the hot weather, and the windows could be opened. Lovely bathroom, with a powerful shower. Little noise at night, despite the central location just at the lower end of the main town.
Breakfast was a delight, lots of fresh fruit and full continental range, including freshly made quiche and cakes, also scrambled eggs and bacon. We were able to obtain a second Americano, on request, but it never seemed as strong as the first one.
There was a "happy hour" in the lovely lounge and balcony area, for an hour from 5.30 PM with free Prosecco, wine, and nibbles, which was a lovely touch.
For evening meals, don't miss the Osteria del Buonconvento, around the corner, really delightful restaurant, great food.
Altogether we found this hotel to be excellent and good value, would definitely recommend it and thanks again to the great staff, who looked after us so well.

In July of 2019, my husband and I chose this hotel after reading other reviews on Trip Advisor. The management (family owned and managed) were absolutely fantastic. The personnel thoughtfully took care of all the details that we would never have considered. For example, the staff closed the outside window shutters while we were at dinner, so that we didn't hear any street noise at bedtime. The hotel is elegant yet comfortable. The classic room and bathroom were beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and spacious enough for the two of us. The breakfast on the terrace was delicious with a great amount of variety. The manager graciously gave very good recommendations and made arrangements for sight seeing as well as for a memorable dinner on our last night in Marina Grande. I hope that everyone here is safe during Covid 19, and I am dreaming of our next chance to stay again.

The location of this hotel is great, very central and at the entrance to the park with access down to the port. It's a busy location during the day with lots to watch but quietens at night when road access is restricted. We had a superior room which was very large with a view to the front. The bed was very comfy. The bathroom was also large but would benefit from some attention to fix broken toilet seat fittings, shower head and clean the grubby shower door base. The robes supplied were also quite frayed, but the slippers were great. They offered concierge parking for €23 per day which was excellent service, especially as parking in Sorrento is very expensive.

If you fancy a limoncello spritz, rather than paying €15 to drink on the terrace, pop across to the Imperial Hotel Tramontano opposite where it costs the same and has a fabulous bar with a view of Mt Vesuvius.

Beautiful historic hotel from the 15th century. The entrance and ambience was breathtaking. It was closely located to ocean front and the elevators you can take up from the ferry to this hotel.
The staff was amazing especially Sophia. We had a special room with a terrace.
Location was absolutely beautiful, ocean in front and the beautiful town behind.
The architecture, lemon trees, the beautiful street and trees and steps to ocean view made this the best location we could have picked.
Loved every aspect of it and made our stay in Sorrento very memorable and pleasurable:)

We stayed for a week and enjoyed everything about this hotel. Our room was comfortable, the many public areas were spaces where you could relax, the staff were friendly and professional, and the buffet style breakfast was a great start to the day. The bus/rail station is about 15 minutes’ walk and the port/ beach (the downhill leg at least!) around the same. There are some excellent hotels in Sorrento, and this is definitely one of them.

I went to Sorrento with 2 girlfriends in July 2023 and we stayed at Palazzo Marziale. It was truly the best experience we could've ever hoped for. The hotel was beautiful - so much charm & history yet modern updates throughout. The bedrooms were spacious (we stayed in the Joy room) and they had a happy hour every day along with an included breakfast that was delicious! The location of the hotel is truly remarkable. You are a 1-minute walk to the lift that takes you down to the port (you can also walk down, about 5-7 minutes) which leads you to the beach clubs & the ferries to the other towns/islands. We also walked to dinner every night and there were LOTS of shops all around us. The best part of the entire stay were the people and the service. Sofia, Simona, the kindest women who ran breakfast each morning, the gentlemen in the evening who always refilled our waters every night, etc.... everyone was just so incredibly kind & attentive & wonderufl. We booked our boat tours & cooking class through the hotel, and they were always willing to help us with bus/train tickets, directions to different restaurants, recommendations of where to go, etc. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Thank you, Palazzo Marziale, for the best experience ever :)
