Visited Villa Maria in a family group at the beginning of August. We were on a half board basis, Food was plentiful at breakfast, including egg, sausage and bacon. Evening meal was always of good quality and variety (especially enjoyed the pasta starters), although main...More

The hotel was in a great position for getting into Sorrento town with its bars cafes and restaurants to say nothing of the shops and alleyways. It was very clean and the room was fine. We paid a bit extra for a sea view and...More

This is a nice Hotel, would stay there again. The bedrooms are a little dated and could benefit from updating. The pool area was lovely but very busy with people reserving sunbeds with towels then sitting in the 'bar area' quite annoying when you're waiting...More

Debbie W
Hi we are a family of 4 ( grown up kids ) travelling to this hotel for a week and we have never been to Italy before. I am really keen to make the most of our time and have already looked at doing the train to Pompei and ferry to Capri. Please can anyone advise the best way of seeing some of the Almalfi coast. I would love to visit Positano and am wondering whether to do it by road or sea? My daughter can be travel sick and I believe the roads are quite scary! Would it be better to do a days tour including Capri or would it be better to do 2 separate visits. Also can anyone recommend the name of any English speaking boat tours. There seem to be so many to choose from. Also I believe the drinks are really expensive any local bars that are not too expensive would be great. We are so excited to be going as not been away as a family for 6 years. Thank you to any one who replies! :)
