We visited Sorrento in the off season: March was very rainy and still many businesses were not yet open for the season. The regular tourist season begins after Easter, yet we chose to go early and to miss the crowds. We enjoyed the Hotel Regina...More
We picked this hotel as it was within walking distance of the square and business district in Sorrento. The accommodations were great. The staff was friendly and helpful. They're we many restaurants and shops to visit. We would stay there again.
Outstanding staff courtesy. Stunning view from breakfast terrace (but not from room) is reason enough for staying at this hotel. Location could not be better for all needs around town. Shower only gets to warm, good for summer stay. Watch out for super-tiny room (single...More
Classic but comfortable Sorrento hotel, outstanding service. Stunning views from breakfast room. Rooms with view and terrace are worth the splurge. Great location for the marina, ferries, shopping and restaurants.
I have only been here on night and am very annoyed. Beautiful veiw, accomodating staff....yada yada. The walls between rooms are like paper! Last night i had to put in headphones and turn on some random youtube white noise because I could hear someone snoring....More

You will need a car to transfer from Airport/Railway Station to your Hotel but you won't need one to get around Sorrento. We were lucky enough to be picked up at Naples Railway Station by Umberto Di Martino who is a local taxi driver from Positano who is very passionate about the area. He is young & a real family man. On the journey he was full of places to visit & its history. He told us we wouldn't need a car as the roads were very busy & that the local train station ran an excellent service to Pompeii & cost next to nothing. The Harbour is a short walk from Hotel Regina where u can get boats to Capri & Naples & Umberto even told us the best days to visit according to the weather & sailing conditions. We used Umberto to take us on the Amalfi Coast drive which was an amazing experience & his prices compared favourably with local offices. We didn't want to go on a coach because of the hairpin bends. We loved Sorrento & it was a holiday of a lifetime for us & I'm sure you will have a wonderful time too. If you wanted to ring Umberto direct his number is +39 333 2055039.
