We stayed here for five nights and it was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. The rooms, the service, the food and the views were exceptional. A number of hotels did not have access to the sea due to the time of the year but this hotel did. Their access to the sea is stunning and all their facilities were fully operational. The pool was stunning and the kids loved it. Breakfast was excellent with such a variety of choice. The rooms division manager dealt with a slight room issue impeccably. Having worked in hospitality for over 30 years this is one of the best hotels in the world. It was so welcoming for children and we cannot wait until we return. This is the only place to stay in Sorrento.
The property location is perfect, accommodations and rooms are amazing, and the service in all aspects was outstanding. One of the nicest hotels and experiences we have had the pleasure to enjoy. Lots of choices in Sorrento but this is a must. The location is perfect, just a short walk to town and the property is amazing with multiple areas to enjoy you day. The beachfront and swimming area is a great relaxing day. The terrace and garden area exquisite for evening cocktails and watching the sunset - and of course the view of Mt. Vesuvius is truly a postcard. The lounge area warm and comfortable for late evening night cap. The rooms are spacious and very clean (actually the property itself is immaculate in al areas) and do get the water view - it is worth it. The food is fresh and well prepared for lunch and appetizers - we did not eat dinner here although the restaurant looked amazing. Breakfast was terrific with lots of choices. Last, and certainly not least, the service was Amazing. Antonella set the tone right at check in and she is just a wonderful and helpful person and made our stay very special. Other service at breakfast, lounge, patio, bellman, hosts and car park were first class. Would highly recommend and come back for sure.…
The hotel is beautiful, and beautifully situated for tourists - pretty much close to everything: shops in the historic center, Marina Piccola, restaurants, services. The front desk staff was extremely patient with all my questions, reservations, a problem with the A/C, even a room change for a higher floor. The views of sea are breathtaking and the little terraces are perfect. Breakfasts are great, as is the outdoor bar area in the evening and the restaurant. I have just one improvement to suggest: Please make the signage from the street larger. We must have driven by three times before we could figure out where the hotel was!
The Hotel is definitely 5 star, everyone was very helpful, the grounds and views from the waterfront rooms were incredible, the balcony was large enough for cocktails. The pool and beach club personal were great. The Breakfast had a nice assortment. Our room was always spotless, while not as large as one would expect in a 5 star property (But the view more then made up for it). I would Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone with high expectations. We stayed 3 nights in Sept.
Sea view room with balcony provided the most spectacular view, the room was beautifully arranged and immaculately clean with a great bathroom and toiletries. We had a lunch there which was not that great. The beak feast was included and was good but not exceptional. The staff was very helpful and a very nice beach platform with very good service. Alto get her a great stay
A good hotel with good breakfast and an excellent view. Rooms facing the street (or city view) get lot of traffic noise. Nice staff in the breakfast room. Front desk staff was fine but did not appear warm in resolving the issues.
Visited this hotel 10 years ago for my 25th anniversary and decided to return for our 35th. So glad we did! This hotel is phenomenal! The hotel and the grounds are stupendous, the views of the bay of Naples is unparalleled, the service is top notch! Can’t say enough! I exchanged emails for months with Antonella who helped answer questions about the city and touring. When I met her in person, it was like meeting a friend. The service across the board was exceptional, from Mariano the lifeguard/pool server to the servers at breakfast and lunch. They really care about giving you a wonderful experience. The pool is stunning and I’d highly recommend making time in your trip to enjoy it, and the poolside Limoncello Spritz. All the rooms are great. Don’t worry about paying up for a view. All you do is walk down to the hotel terrace and you get the view of your dreams. The location is close to Piazza Tasso, great restaurants and a reasonable walk to the public lift that takes you down to the Marina. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again!…
Amazing hotel!!! - best hotel in Central Sorrento! We attended a wet and had a sea view room that was amazing - hotel was modern fresh and all fabulous!! Pool was big and a pleasure to spend the day at!!! Staff all great and very helpful!! Pool restaurant fantastic with views over the bay and food excellent- the restaurant in the main hotel was fabulous too!!! Stunning gardens for lounging with a drink and a jetty on the private beach also beautiful If I was to offer advice - the spa was disappointing as it was small and had no facilities- Our friends were statist other hotels and all agreed ours was the best!!
Make sure to take advantage of the hotel’s beach club, this was easily our favourite perk of the hotel. Domenico was absolutely wonderful…attentive and professional! He really pampered us and allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our vacation by setting up lunch reservations at the hotel restaurant, recommending delicious Italian treats from the menu, and making sure that all guests were both safe and comfortable. Ciao Domenico, a la prossima!
Our room was nice. I would recommend a room on the sea but they were all booked. Nevertheless the street / park view was fine. The room was renovated. However when I booked it said bathtub. We had a shower. They should update the pictures on the booking site as the pictures seem to be pre renovation. The pool was very pleasant and so was the rock beach below. However the ocean is cold and close to the harbor. The views from the hotel of Mt. Vesuvius, Naples, Capri, Ischia are breathtaking. The location is wonderful; right near the station which was convenient when we went to Naples and Heracleum. The town is also right there. We had dinner one night and it was really awful. So we always went into town. Sorrento and the Hotel Royal were a wonderful experience. Closing the pool at 6.30 pm was somewhat annoying as 7 pm would be better. The pool attendant was great and so helpful, as we always were looking for the shade. I forgot his name but he told us he was going to go to Palm Beach on vacation.…
