Miriam and Roberto host a really nice B&B in this old castle that's been in the family for a bunch of centuries. It is a beautiful place, with nice rooms decorated in a style that suits the castle, old oak furniture, huge wooden wardrobes, romantic...

First of all, you must check out their website which has more info and contact for booking: www.palazzogallotti.it. This place is a gem and the hosts make you feel like family. Delicious homemade food (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and meat options all available!), peaceful surroundings, stunning views into the canyon... The hosts also know the mountains very well and do trekking...

Thank you very much for your nice words! It was a pleisure for us to host you! Excuse our late reply, we forgot a bit about trip advisor, that´s why we only saw your review now! The time in the Cilento goes a bit slower :-)

My wife and I had planned a trip to Sicily and wanted to find a convenient stop half way on our drive from Rome. Palazzo Gallotti was the perfect location- located 20km off of A3 in Campania near the border with Basilicata. Bettina, our host, had prepared a delicious vegetarian meal for us- per our request- which included local, healthy...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We welcome you warmly! The Palazzo Gallotti was built in 1492 as a private residence of the Gallotti Barons in Battaglia. Our guestrooms are located in one of the four wings of the Palazzo. Battaglia (460m above sea level) is situated at the southern border of the Cilento National Park, protected by the UNESCO since 1997 for its geological characteristics (karst phenomena), its flora (endemic orchids, primrose), its fauna (otters, crayfish) and its sociocultural integrity. It is a perfect location for a quiet stay, countryside vacation, trekking tour or romantic getaway. High mountains and crystal clear beaches invite you to enjoy this region of southern Italy far away from tourist crowds. The beautiful venus hair waterfall is only a view steps away! ... more   less
