This hotel supposedly is near Salerno's center. Well it isn't. It is huge and quite noisy but the rooms are old, dusty and muldy, and they need many repairs. The sheets were disgusting and black stained and when we asked for clean ones the clenaing...More

What qualifies this as a 4 star hotel? Staff at reception is very unwelcoming and rude.

If this a 4 star hotel, I'm a monkey's uncle. Room was very odd with two bathrooms and an anteroom. Wasn't pristine and a bit tired. TV wasn't programmed, it was noisy even with windows closed. Stood at reception to check out and was basically...More

I can't help you with the train station as I didn't use it. I can tell you though that there are two stations for the ferries. The one is only a 5-minute walk from the hotel and it is where the boats for Amalfi and Positano dock. The other is literally at the other side of the town, even further than the historical center. It is not a distance that I would feel comfortable walking if I had a boat to catch; though I did it as a walk one evening. From there you take the ferry for Capri. I think though that the taxi fare is around 5 euro for that distance; if that helps.
