Viamercanti 76 is a beautiful, spotlessly clean, well decorated modern apartment on the 2nd floor of an old (late 18th c.) palazzo. There are only 2 guest rooms and we were the only people there due to the off season. Dottore Bruno Avellone, the owner, is lively, warm and gracious, provided us with a map, recommendations for restaurants and sights,...

We just came back from our Italy-trip which brought us after Lecce, Taranto also to Salerno. Everywhere we used B&B Italia which was a great experience. We met very interesting people of all kind. Thank Tripadvisor we could make a good deal of research days before our arrival. So for Salerno we liked the reviews of B&B viamercanti76 very much...

We spent 5 nights because we were invited to a wedding in salerno, so we took the opportunity to do some sightseeing. The situation for us was perfect as Via Mercanti is just in the historical center very close from the cathedral so you can go anywhere in Salerno within a walk of around 10-15 mins.
