It's already a year since visiting here, but I'll still want to review it. The location is quite good, although bit of a walk from the train station. Finding the hostel was also problematic as there are so many narrow alleys around. the setting is nice and my dorm room was clean. It's a big hostel but there were not...

Friendly staff at reception + best location in Salerno + clean room + italian breakfast = happy customer! If you want a luxurious suite with bathtub and in room entertainment, go somewhere else. If you want a good bed, good shower and value for money, this is the right place for you. You have the historic centre outside your window,...

In order to limit my lodging expenses, I opted for a hostel: Ave Gratia Plena. This former convent, located in the heart of Salerno, creates a different atmosphere than your usual hotel. It has a nice courtyard, where one can rest while enjoying the weather with a free hot drinks and the company of others. This makes up for the...

I didn’t plan to stay in Salerno, but on the last minute I decided to go and I chose to stay in this hostel. The hostel is very big, in an old monastery or something. It was very organized and spacious. There are a lot of different types of people staying there, from backpackers to family and Italians. I used...

Well it doesn't have a wow factor when u see the building or the rooms.. but they have comfortable rooms and bathrooms.. located a couple of minutes distance from the main road and coast.. we had a fantastic time exploring the city and dining very close to the hostel as the main road with the fantastic restaurants is so close!...

I stayed in this hostel for a week from 13th June 2012 with three friends. The location although central in terms of the city is a good 20 minute walk from Salerno station and the main bus terminal. The hostel itself is a beautiful converted convent and what makes it even better is that all floors are accessible via lift...

I stayed in this hostel last weekend. The location is very central and easily accessible. The building has a wonderful courtyard, where there is also a bar and you can have your breakfast there. The rooms are basic but clean and the bathroom a good size. My room was on the topfloor and i had a lovely view of the...

Despite great service from the staff and a nice location, the beds were uncomfortable and the wi-fi did not work from the 4th floor. The cost for a double room was very expensive for the lack of these things.

I mainly stayed at this hostel because of how cheap it was, I stayed in an 8 person communal room (guys) and it was pretty good besides one night where a dude had the most disturbing snores (think sleep apnea mixed with demon talk) I've heard ever. The place is an old church convent which has been thoroughly renovated. I...

We took a nice ferry ride from Amalfi to Salerno and it was good to get back to reasonable prices. This hotel is not easy to find so I would get directions and a map from the information center near the train/bus station. It is a fair walk from the ferry landing down the pedestrian mall into a warren of...
