My husband and I stayed in the Villa for 4 nights (May 2016) Luisa the manageress had only been in charge of the Villa for 2 months at the stage, Luisa is a lovely lady with lots of recommendations whether it’s to visit a new place, buy a gift or eat out in a restaurant. Luisa is a local and... More

I cant thank Luisa, the manager, enough for her great advice and hospitality during our stay here, she recommended places to eat, places to go, activities etc - she really made our stay here brilliant. The breakfast was good and the views from the rooms/terraces are incredible. It's about a 30 minute walk into the centre of Amalfi (I wouldn't... More

Me and my partner stayed in Villa Santa Maria at the end of April 2016, and couldn't recommend this place enough. In terms of location, the Villa is situated somewhat outside Amalfi town itself, in the hamlet of Vettica, which is situated high against the cliffs of the stunning Amalfi coastline. The village is on the main bus route going... More

What a inconvenience place this is to stay at! Such a terrible place almost ruined our Amalfi Coast trip...thank God we hardly ever stayed around the hotel (even though we could have used a relaxing day) and ventured out. WORST TWIN BEDS PUSHED TOGETHER: First of all, we booked via booking.com for a "Luxury Villa" experience. This place is so... More

Yes. You will have to go up and down thousands of steps. If you don't have problems in your knees, then the hotel has a breathtaking view, it's modern, cool, and service is good. Going down to the sea requires another gazillion steps, but again, the path is beautiful and the then the beach (not a sand beach) is just... More

Stay in the luxury room .Hotel has a fantastic view definitely worth climbing ,Everything was great .Geraldo and Elvira was very helpful and friendly. My only wish it would be great if they built a railing down to steps to the beach. Because after a point there is no railing so its kinda a scary to go with a child .

This property is to die for. After taking the winding road for what seems like an hour you arrive on the side of the road to what seems like an old abandoned church. Then you see the hundred steps and after the man whisks away your luggage on his shoulders down to the bottom and he is out of sight... More

Stayed here for 2 nights as a way to de-stress from our tour of Italy. The staff was wonderful and really made us feel at home. The room was smaller than expected, but was clean and had modern finishes. The view from the room was out of this world - blue waters and a part of the coastline. The property... More

Stayed in Villa santa Maria for a week in our honeymoon. The room was clean and nice, however not very big. Very nice and friendly staff. Good breakfast, we really appriciate that they served not only white bread. The breakfast was also served in a beautiful garden, with a majestic ocean view. Very nice with a private sundeck, so we... Villa Santa Marie is truly your own private resort. The privacy, the magnificent vistas, a private beach, the house cuisine and the excellence of the staff. Just 2 Km west with easy SITI bus access (Vettica stop) to Amalfi and its boat system. Had I known of the quality of this experience ahead of time, I would have stayed here... More
