When we arrived we were given a room outside reception which looked onto the internal courtyard. It was a fairly dark room. Bathroom window didn't close. Got quite a lot of bites (ten) during the night. If you had the curtains open you had no privacy (rooms opposite and courtyard look straight in to the bedroom). We moved to a...

The B&B is a bit hidden behind the street and if you use Google street-view it was quite easy to find. Stairway up to the B&B quite steep. Location right on the east, noth-east of the big church. Big room, high sealing, and spaceous. Good bed, clean and ok. Just aa few stairs and corridors and then you are out...

The young lady mentioned in earlier reviews is called Annalisa and we endorse everything that other guests have said about her. She was invariably charming and helpful whatever the request - including ordering us a taxi for the airport, lugging our 20 kilo case down all ?40+ stairs and even waiting with us on the pavement until the taxi arrived....

We enjoyed our stay at Residenza Sole, the lady who greeted us and showed us everything and who was also serving breakfast and cleaning breakfast did a remarkable job. She is a star, I cannot remember her name but she had curly blonde hair. She was so friendly and helpful and managed everything by herself, not sure how she does...

The host was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The location in Amalfi is great as well. Also good value for the area, and the continental breakfast was nice. In general it was very good. However, the Wifi did not work properly a lot of the time which is annoying. Also, there was literally no sound-proofing in our room, the windows...

My wife and I and our son and his girlfriend stayed here during Easter. The young lady running the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The location was terrific, a very short walk to the main Cathedral square. The room was comfortable and the morning breakfast on the terrace was a good start to the day. A cosy place we...

Was so close to the bus stop that made getting around effortless. As well as being a passage walk away from the town centre. The lady at reception was always there to help and made the croissants by hand everyday! The breakfast was served on a large balcony at reasonable times whenever you were ready. The rooms were large, clean...

We stayed here for two weeks last july. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, though slightly worn (by crazy Norwegian standards). Keep in mind that the area is quite expensive. The service was fantastic, Mariateresa provided helpful advice and perfect cappuccinos for breakfast (!). The location is perfect for getting to the beach or the center of Amalfi. The...

Not that there's a BAD location in Amalfi, but we loved being so close to the ocean and the main Marketplace in Amalfi but set back a little off the busy street. As with many hotels and B&Bs in Amalfi and elsewhere along the coast, you have to climb some stairs to get to Residenza Sole, but Maria-Theresa was right...
