Basic and dated 2 star hotel. Only good point it's 250 metres from the Sassi. Outdated room with an old 14" tv up on the wall. On main road so close to all the shops. On first floor and no lift so if you're old and with a big case ask for help.

The rooms are small and simple yet spotlessly clean with good bathrooms and they provide everything you need. The staff are helpful and friendly. Wifi is excellent. Breakfast...

Tranquility. The warmth. The location, close to everything. The helpful owner/manager always pleasant and friendly. My wife and I stayed here 5 nights in March 2015. It was our base as we discovered Matera and parts of Basilicata. Breakfast was included, a ticket for each of us to go get a pastry, cereal, fruit and coffee at the nearby cafe/pastry...

Very close to the touristic area of Sassi. A simple but neat and clean room. Basic breakfast but excellent and warm customer services. Grazie Gianni. Great hints on visiting itinerary and local restaurants. We really enjoyed and would refer happily to all our friends.

A small hotel near the centre of the ancient city of Matera. Checking in was very easy and the Receptionist was most helpful - providing a map of the area and giving background information and advice. There is no on site parking, but the street outside has bays with moderately priced parking meters - free on Sundays. However there are...
