The hotel is on the beach front and has parking spaces around (maybe because of the Corona situation), but there is also a parking belonging to the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean, although somewhat small. Very helpful staff and nice breakfast.

Overall, the hotel has a good location. However, it has problems. When we went to check in, the front of house said entered the room is “too small for you big people” and tried to upsell us a room. Which really is a shoddy tactic and could be quite offensive. The room was double rather than requested twin, this later was rectified. But still. I needed a private space to make a call, and they tired to charge me for a meeting room for 1 hour. Finally, I put my bags in the luggage room. The chap behind the desk said it was completely clean and sanitised and pointed to the seal on the door. I pointed out that seal was on that door for several days and had been broken previously. Indeed there was already someone sitting in the luggage room, so it could not be untouched unless he had come in through the window! Overall, really unnecessary. The staff and management need to learn that they are in hospitality not penny pinching.

Hotel Carlton is in an excellent location across the street from beach . The customer service was excellent and the breakfast was amazing . The train station is maybe 2 miles or less away and there are many cafes , restaurants in the area . You definitely don’t need a car . Highly recommend visiting the amazing city of Pescara .

We only stayed one night, as a break to a long car journey with kids, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, tidy and of good size. The breakfast was a standard buffet affair, well presented and with a good choice. Great location on the beach and close to lots of restaurants and take aways.

As Pescara according to my experience doesn’t offer really modern or boutique hotels, except the newly opened G Hotel next to the main station, this hotel is one of the best in a prime location directly in front of the beach. However, all rooms with seaside are in the direction of the beach drive and therefore can be a bit noisy at night with windows open. Hotel rooms are quite small but functionally equipped and very clean. Breakfast is rich measured by Italian standards. There are also some parking spaces in the court which need to be reserved in advanced. Cars are parked by the hotel staff. If you don’t find a parking at the hotel, there is a public pay parking next to the hotel. In the morning, I would recommend to go for a walk or yoga in the beach. If you want to go to the beach it’s accessible via the public beach next to the hotel.
