We stayed on a powered site with a large campervan for 1 night. The location was not the easiest to get to with heavy Auckland traffic and lots of road works. The site felt over crowded with very little space between campervans. Toilet and showers were very nice with lots of hot water. The young lady on reception was very...

We stayed overnight, before dropping off our hired campervan. The site was conveniently sited for getting a bus into the city centre. Reception were very helpful. The powered pitches were fine in size for a medium sized van. The toilet facilities were a bit basic but were clean and functioning. We had no problems with noise, even though the site...

Sadly will shut on January 31, but the best options near the city ( train station and supermarket very close ). Unpowered sites are literally a two vehicle wide no exit gravel road, or near the entrance on the grass with the tents. Good (free) showers and cosy TV room/lounge. Kitchen has hobs, fridge, freezer and sinks. Plus kettles and...

Description does not match the reality of the park. Powered sites very small hardly fitted our motor home into. To get internet had to stand in middle of road or sit at telephone box. Mainly occupied by permanent residents who made us feel unwelcome. Staffs knowledge of local services limited, told I don't live around here so I don't know.

About the only thing that the Avondale Motor Park has going for it is its location - nice and close to the city, New Lynn, Avondale, St Lukes. Unfortunately that is where the compliments stop. My partner and I prebooked and paid in advance for a week in a Tourist Cabin so I could show my partner my hometown of...

We spent 3 nights there in our van. The park is well equipped, nice kitchen, clean amenities. But sadly the non-powered campsite area is not really nice, just a little area on gravels. The lady at the reception suggested that we camp on the grass at the entry of the park but it is far from the amenities. Anyway, a...

This is an OK site with a reasonable kitchen and TV lounge and it you want a power touring site they have some purpose made. However if you are tent or non power camper you do less well, as the tent site is on a slop and the non powered site is a gravel patch in a dark hollow. That...

Difficult to find. Was quite old and had static vans on site. Facilities not brilliant although. they were clean Journey into Auckland via rail - very cheap. Receptionist needed to smile - didn't appear very happy.

On a recent trip to Auckland, we were shocked to find that there was absolutely no accomodation to be had in the CBD or surrounds. We started driving out of town stopping at every hotel and motel along the way and kept getting the same message - No Vacancy. We finally arrived at the Avondale Motor Park and although there...

We attempted to stay here last night on a tent site. I will go into the positives first as this is not a totally bad review. Kitchen facilities are clean. Bathrooms are clean. Location of park is good in terms of getting to Mt smart stadium but not so good being in a residential area but I'll explain that in...
