Stayed for 12 nights the beginning of April. Check in was quick and easy. There is a £150 breakages deposit payable on arrival. The money is stapled to the paperwork and is returned to you when checking out which again was very quick. They go up and check the room, literally takes 2 minutes to check for breakages and then the deposit is returned.
We were on the 22nd floor and had amazing views. If like me you like the sun on your balcony for as long as possible ask for a high floor and apartment 'a'. There are 2 apartments on each floor 'a' and 'b'. The apartments themselves are very spacious with a small kitchen that has a fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave, toaster and 2 ring hob. Bathrooms are quite big with a double sized walk in shower. Bedroom has loads of wardrobes but not many hangers so take a few with you or just buy them out there. There are 2 single beds that are very comfortable with quilts in the wardrobes which we needed as it was still quite cool at night. The aircon/heating unit is in the living room so you need to leave the bedroom and living room doors open to try to get the heat into the bedroom. Living room is really big with a very comfortable sofa bed. There is an additional pull out bed underneath. There is a small table and 4 chairs. The chairs could really do with some felt on the bottom of them as they make a lot of noise when being moved. The balcony has 2 sets of patio doors and runs the full length of the apartment. There is a plastic table and 4 chairs as well as a pull out clothes airer. Again very spacious. There is a vending machine in the reception which is quite handy. Pool area is very clean with a selection of tables and chairs and sun loungers. Pool was too cold to go in but looked lovely and clean. Location is around a 10 minute walk to the strip. Safe is in the room. Sheets and towels can be exchanged at reception at certain times of the day as there is no cleaning service but this is easily done. Reception staff are very friendly. There are security cameras in all communal areas so felt very secure. All in all a very comfortable stay at lovely apartments which I will happily return to.

This is are third visit to the Playamar and it's a great hotel.
We haven't been since 2019 and it had a bit of a face lift.
The rooms are a great size
The living room is big with a bed settee, table a chairs a unit with the TVs on.
You can get most of the English channels.
In the bedroom there are 2 single beds ( which are a bit hard but comfortable) and a large wardrobe (so plenty of room for her stuff).
The toilet and shower room is small but shower is a good size the only thing missing is a shelf to put her toiletries on over the sink.
The kitchen is also a good size with all you need, a microwave,2 ring hob kettle and a added bonus of a large storage room.
Now the best the balcony.
This is a great size we are staying in room 16b and have a great outlook over Benidorm and we can see the sea and the mountains.

Firstly id like to note we paid £480 for flights, luggage, accommodation and transfers for 2 people for 5 nights over the fiestas so I really wasnt expecting luxury anyway!
The apartments are spacious, clean and basic. Nice size balcony. Bit surprised by the 150 euro deposit required, luckily I had a credit card to put it on as may have been stuck had I had to use my spending money to pay it.
There is no maid service so all cleaning etc has to be done yourself as do towel and bedding changes and taking rubbish out but this didnt bother us.
The fact you have to pay additional to use the air con is a bit off but again you get what you pay for with this accommodation!
23 story building with 2 apartments per floor, if you arent keen on heights make sure you request a low story room prior to your holiday as they can rarely grant this request when you are there.
Pool area looked clean and inviting. 'Bar' is just a corner behind reception with a few fridges and optics but not an issue with only being a 10 minute walk away from the strip anyway.
Cant really comment on the staff, barely engaged with them during our stay.
Despite being a cheap and cheerful place, I was a bit miffed they dont supply the absolute basics such as toilet roll (1 roll left in room) and handwash?
I would say if you are going to Benidorm and looking for somewhere safe, clean, basic, JUST to sleep and wash, this is perfect for you. If you are looking for a bit more luxury definitely stay elsewhere!

Where to begin, we had a 1 bedroom apartment on the 9th floor overlooking a car park, it was basic but clean, reception staff were friendly and helpful, location is good and far away enough away from the madness but that’s where the positives end. Be prepared for zero maid service, if you want clean towels you have to take your used ones down to reception and collect fresh ones on specified days, the same goes for bed linen and you have make the beds yourself after changing the sheets. The rooms have aircon but this costs an additional 5 euros per day if you want it and in June you certainly do! Lots of noisy groups of men boozing all day round the pool with their drinks lined up around the pool edge, no cushions on the sun beds. Then comes the £150 euro security deposit if you pay on your credit card you have to wait three weeks for it to go back on your card after check out. On the day of check out you even have to strip the beds. If you don’t mind all of this then you will probably enjoy it here, but it’s one to avoid in my book.

I was aware the we had to leave a deposit so had put money aside for this, we had 5 apartments in our family from floor 6 up to floor 19, the lift was small but worked great, I don't like lifts but floor 19 was too many steps. we paid the deposit in pounds it just made it easier on return to the uk.
A few problems on arrival nothing too much but at 3am everything feels worse after travelling all day, no sheets in 2 of the rooms and towels missing, etc all sorted by the next day.
Aircon is switched on via a key at reception and is really needed, at first we had it on 16 but over the holiday as we got used to the climate we turned it up, 2 single beds and a sofa bed with a pull out single bed, it took us over a week to realise that the single pullout can actually be raised to make a king-size bed by lining it up to the sofa.
Apartment clean and tidy it does say no smoking but you can on the balcony, there are a list of rules about taking rubbish out onto the street, leaving the sheets and towels in a pile when leaving the apartment. this is then checked before you receive your deposit back
pool area has 21 sunbeds which certainly isn't enough, the usual reserving with towels and some people not using them until lunchtime, it didn't bother us as we preferred to sit at the tables with chairs, we had 14 in our family which consisted of 10 adults and 4 children, everyone around the pool was friendly and all shared the various inflatable toys.
poolside bar which was fantastic lovey cold drinks all day, coconut bar next door for breakfasts and snacks, we would usually get a takeaway and eat around the pool, you could vape and smoke around the pool area.
Great reception staff for any problems and questions that you needed answered. We had a brilliant holiday, we found Benidorm to be a lot more expensive than previous years but that seems to be everywhere now. Would we stay again probably yes although I do prefer nearer to the old town, a taxi ride to the old town was 7 euro

We have just come back from a 2 week stay in the Playamar.
These apartments are beautiful, the staff are so friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble.
The reception staff are constantly cleaning they never keep still.
The pool area is cleaned every day.
There are plenty of sunbeds although it did get busier our 2nd week as school holidays were starting.
The apartments are very well kept and a decent size.
There is a separate kitchen with all utensils you need.
Also a massive balcony
Please be aware there is a €150 breakage deposit payable on arrival which is returned on departure
Air con is also chargeable at €5 per day.
You are given a welcome pack which informs you what days you can exchange your dirty sheets and towels. However if you want to do this on a different day you will be charged.
These apartments are beautiful and kept extremely clean. This is NOT an hotel so no maid service so I don't think its unreasonable to have to take down your dirty towels. If you want a maid pay for an hotel.
I would highly recommend these apartments they are clean and comfortable and have what you need.
The Coconut bar adjoining the apartments is a must to try serving beautiful food to eat in or take away.
All in all amazing holiday in amazing apartments thank you to all the staff

Quick easy check in, 2 card keys, £150 deposit so take extra money, wi fi password, small kitchen with everything in, bedroom 2 single beds, big wardrobe with safe, ample size living room with sofa and pully out bed, large balcony table and 4 chairs, great views over Benidorm the higher the floor. 23 floors only 2 apartments per floor, all apartments have sea views. Only about 30 sunbeds, not a very big pool, doors dont open for pool till 10am, we always got a sunbed going down at 10am. Cheap bar at pool for soft drinks and alcohol and a vending machine in foyer. You need to hire air con 45 euros per week, safe 2 euros per day. No maid service so if you want towels and linen changed you take it down on certain days, not a problem. 2 lifts which were both very quick, right next to outdoor market , 10 minute walk to bars and 15 minute walk to beach, all staff were friendly and sorted any problems out immediately, no major issues at all, would definitely stay again.

Just back from a week in the Playamar, the apartments are a good size and we're clean on arrival, the bedroom is a good size with plenty of cupboard space about 12 hangers, the kitchen has all the essentials you need to cook breakfast, 2 ring hob, microwave, fridge with an ice box and kettle there is a cupboard next to the kitchen where you'll find a mop and bucket and a broom.
The bathroom is adequate with a walk in shower.
The living room has a sofa bed with pull out bed table and 4 chairs, a sideboard and a TV on the wall.
The balcony is a great size with table and chairs and clothes rails for the wet beach towels etc.
The view ahead is amazing we were on the 19th floor, below is a large carpark and you can see the pool.
The pool is very nice water wasn't cold my only complaint about the Playamar is everyone going down at 10 putting towels down then disappearing we went down got our beds and never left the pool till later in the afternoon (4-5 o/c) some were not using these reserved beds untill lunch time this really isn't fair to others who actually want to use the pool area, there is a notice on both doors to the pool saying towels will be removed but that didn't happen the whole time we were there.
It's only a 10 min walk to a great supermarket called Consum on C.Ibiza next to Buddy's, it has everything you could need the locals shop there we, didn't use the "Tourist" supermarkets they are overpriced.
You can cut through the car park saves a few mins of your walk, if you cut through turn left walk to the end of the street turn right it will take you to the beach about 10-15mins, if you cut through turn right then left go straight along across 2 roundabouts keeping right on the 2nd one you will see the supermarket about 10mins.
The Playamar is buy the outdoor market which is there on Sundays and Wednesday.
You will be given an envelope with all instructions for sheet and towel changing you will be allocated days and you have to take your rubbish out to the bins yourself the bins are outside the Coconut bar very easy to find.
On arrival you have to leave a deposit of €150. You can pay cash or card or £'s you get this back after the apartment has been checked for any damage as you leave, on leaving you have to strip the beds fold linen and leave at the bottom of the beds along with the towels.
We really enjoyed our stay and may go back but tbh the pool area and the beds being reserved was a bit annoying so I might look for somewhere with a bigger pool area.

We as a family went to celebrate my birthday in Benidorm, We normally go into hotels not self catering but we gave this one a try, Entering the reception was greeted with a helpful smiling staff. The apartment was large room with separate room with 2 twin beds and a sofa bed and a large balcony to where you can relax and have a drink before setting out for the day Or evening, Pool was not cold, Lovely Bar and Terraces Prices for drinks was cheap.
You do have to pay £50 per person for deposit and pay for aircon £10 per day Safe £8 per day.
You will get a welcome pack to which gives you days on how to get clean bedding & towels as you don't get a daily cleaner, you also have to take all rubbish out to bins near Coconut bar
When leaving you do after strip bedding off Ect Basically leave the room to how you saw when arrived in the room to get your deposit back
Local was Coconut bar 1 mins walk turn left ,breakfast and drinks was lovely and reasonably price and friendly staff.
Turn right walk over to the car park which was safe at day and couple times walked throw it at night but there was five of us , well lit up.
Nightlife starts at 3 mins walks to the bars and the roughly 8mins to the strip.
I would use this apartments again next year.

Excellent stay. Very quiet but can hear some noise from the chairs and i think the cleaning when people leave but didnt annoy us.Stayed in many hotels in Benidorm before. Apartments all the way from now on. Staff friendly. Yes you have to clean your room and take down towels, sheets, take rubbish outside coconut bar where you will find bins on street. Also ask for extra toilet rolls, but there's no intrusion from maids knocking on your door. Two rooms to a floor very quiet and lifts not busy at. We cooked a couple of times and have everything you need in kitcken and a medium size fridge. English TV and relaxed on balcony which have great views. Pool area very clean, tidy and quite. We got takeaway from Coconut bar (food is lovely)and ate at the pool. Its about a 10min walk from strip but can cut through carpark and around. Reception called us taxis when we needed to. Noticed if you hire a scooter from up the road then it's no charge for charging up but I think it's 4euros a day otherwise. Yes there's a deposit which you get back when they check your room. Would definitely be back as we couldnt really fault it. Thanks Playamar for making a relaxing holiday for 2 Happy customers. Anne-Marie & Ken

Playamar is closer to the New Town.
Thank you
10 euro per day yet you have to pay duration my son asked to pay for few nights and was told no had to take full week
If u don't mind paying for air conditioning and safe daily charge. also if not using the bar for drinks they charge you for ice which I thought was ridiculous. 150 euro deposit which you get back only if you have receipts also no cleaning service at all get own binbags towels sheets from reception.
