Tacky, very very dated room, opposite police station, in an urban built up area, 1 choice of meal at both breakfast and evening meal, 1 lift which is very very slow. Hotel is full of old spaniards. Swimming pool is tiny and always in shade.

My friends and I have stayed at The Brasil for the past 5 years apart from one year when we couldn't get booked in as full, and was disappointed!

Thank you!! Our biggest reward is certainly to have guests as you. Best wishes.
Close to beach, shopping, bars & restaurants. The hotel is basic but clean & had everything you needed for a place to sleep & keep your belongings. Can't comment on the breakfasts as we went board only.

Thank you so much. It is so satisfying to receive this kind of comments and it sure is great to know you enjoy staying with us. That's what holidays are for!!
I will start by saying this was a good hotel for the price, location, cleanliness and friendliness of staff, and I would return on that basis.
Now the caveats for British travellers...

Thank you so much for writing this extensive review. We cater for all nationalities, but of course an 80 % will be Spanish most of the time. As you mention expectations can differ a lot, and precisely reading online reviews would be of great help...More

The food was more than ample. For the size of the hotel there was always a good choice. Nice little touch, free wine with the meal. Staff were always pleasant, friendly and well mannered. Very clean, if dated hotel. Certainly value for money. Nice place to base yourself for the week. Many Spanish bars withinin a few hundred yards from the hotel. We enjoyed the local bars expecially Ocas opposite the hotel. It is run by a young couple who do their utmost to make you feel welcome. Bar prices in the hotel are cheap for a hotel. Entertainment is limited but we had the odd night in the hotel and it is mainly a Spanish guy singing but he was able to sing in English and Spanish alike because that was the crowd he was entertaining. We found the fact that the evening meal was 8pm - 10pm. We felt we didn't have to rush back in the day. If we arrived back early we'd either have an hour or two by the pool or nip across Oca's bar for a couple of beers and some tapas.
