I was happy with this hotel. It was a short stay but for what we paid it was acceptable. The staff were nice to us and spoke English well. The food was pretty basic but we thought that it might be and took a pleasant walk into the nearby town for the majority of our meals. The rooms are clean and the bedding is fresh.
Currently travelling Costa de Sol back to Eurostar in 5 days time. Check in went well, nice room with a bath which David loves.. Went out for dinner, as the restaurant was filling up with workers as was evident by the number of vans in the carpark.. Whilst driving to the marina just outside the hotel were a group of boys 13/14 - a football team we presumed from their clothing. On arrival back around 22.20 we filled the bath and then bed.. We had driven from Duquesa 600km away.. So needed a good night sleep.. Around 23.15 shouting, doors banging and running up and down the corridors started. Twice we went out, it was the foot ball boys. This noise went on for an hour, we tried contacting reception but no answer.. Eventually a teacher turned up.. It still took a while to get back to sleep.. 6am they start again.. When we checked out at 8.45am the receptionist didn't want to know and walked away from me when l said we wanted to complain, she fully understood what we were saying.. but was not interested... Shame, reasonable hotel but if customer service doesn't count why would you ever want to return.. …
My wife and I stayed there while traveling in Spain and the hotel was great. First off this Hotel is fairly close to Downtown, so a quick drive or a cab ride will get you to the historic downtown. The hotel was quite nice, simple rooms, an ice machine which is the first one we've actually seen in Spain, there is a Grocery store about a 5 minute walk from the hotel or a 30 second drive with it being very easy to drive back. Originally we had a room on the second floor, but what happened when we got back from being out in the town the Air Conditioning wouldn't come on, and it was 30 degrees and very humid in the room (My wife had just had a shower). We couldn't get the HVAC controls to work at all, the dehumidifier setting or even just straight ventaliation, we spoke to the girl at the front desk who came up to take a look, couldn't get it working herself, very politely explained that they don't have a maintenance person on staff and changed our room to where the Air Conditioning was working, she even let me check to make sure before she put us into another room. The restaurant was also very good, both my wife and had the gourmet hamburger which was delicious, the fries that came with it were very good as well. The chamber really was gourmet with a gourmet cheese too, it truly was fantastic. Parking was fairly easy, we never had a problem finding a space, but we didn't get to the underground parking so I can't confirm how good that was. The room was simple, and clean. Would definitely recommend as an inexpensive hotel that believes in quality. 5 out of 5…
Due to a family emergency we had to fly to Spain and needed a hotel close to the hospital, I found this through booking.com advertised as breakfast included in room rate but the price went up when we checked in, the only good thing is this hotel is clean. The breakfast is inedible coffee machine broken the food available was toast or bread, bacon hard boiled egg cereal and warm milk, it was disgusting, when we booked it stated al a carte menu that’s s laugh the restaurant wasn’t open after breakfast you couldn’t get anything no coffee no snacks no evening meals I believe the restaurant was open briefly for a bit in early evening but it was always closed when I checked, no staff told us what time the restaurant open as this hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate so nowhere else to go. The rooms are clean and basic air con not great but it did cool eventually, the fridge in our room did not work, but only here 3 days so did not report it. Couldn’t even get a coffee in the hotel, cartenga is a lovely little historic town beautiful but never again in this hotel…
A great location to stay to visit Cartagena if you have your own transportation. Hotel is modern, in good condition and rooms are of a reasonable size. It is only 3 stars but rooms have a small fridge mini bar, safe and excellent air conditioning/heating. The free parking is a bonus. Staff on reception are friendly and efficient and speak excellent English so asking for extras such as more pillows isn’t difficult. There is a bar and restaurant at the hotel but we decided to walk the 20 minutes it takes to a vast shopping centre with numerous bars and restaurants to have our evening meals. It is a great hotel for your £36 per night and would recommend it if you plan touring the area.
Average room, small but cleaned. The restaurant is by far the worst of Spain. Food is horrible, barely edible, the service is below acceptable. The breakfast is barely acceptable. Price of the restaurant is too high (11 euros for the menu of the day) considering you’ll be looking for a restaurant as soon as you get out of that nightmare.
Nice enough hotel rooms and reception but spoiled by advertised facilities being closed. We were in the city for a concert with a coach party and everyone was upset about the closed bar. Close to a very busy motorway and quiet noisy unless you keep the windows firmly shut. I would not stay here again by choice.
If you have a car it is really ideal to stay here for a night while travelling to another place. Would not suggest it for someone who wants to visit Cartagena for a couple of days. There is a huge shopping centre just 3 kms away, so if interesting in shopping it's the place to be. It took us about 10 mins drive to the city centre. Clean hotel, very basic but it was enough for the 2 of us.
Very easy to access when driving to Cartagena - just off the motorway, but some distance from the centre. Good rooms, service and facilities, as well as a nice restaurant and free parking. There is a fairly frequent local bus service to the city centre. Although located in an industrial estate, a huge shopping mall is located within walking distance, with several restaurants open late.
We stayed here for 4 nights because it's quite close to the Cartagena racetrack. It was absolutely awesome! Rooms with tons of space, beautiful bathroom, nice big desk to work on, little extra sofa and big beds. You can even control the temperature in your room and there is A/C in the bathroom when you turn on the lights. Breakfast was great as well! There is more than enough to choose from, all kinds of hot and cold drinks, everything is very clean etc. I honestly loved every minute of my stay here. The only downside I can think of is that, especially for a business oriented hotel, the rooms do not have a lot of power sockets for charging devices. Also, electricity is completely shut off when you take out your card to leave the room. So you can't leave devices to charge while you're gone, and you can't warm up your room if you're not inside. Overall great hotel. Very easy to reach as it's practically attached to a highway.…
